A quiet day in Cotehele Garden

- This was my second visit to Cotehele.
My first time was in late September; it was cold, rainy, and the days were short. Nevertheless, even during that visit, I fell in love with the place.
When planning my summer holiday, I decided it was time to return Cornwall. To see it in bloom for change. Once there, Cotehele House, its gardens, and the Mill were my first destinations.
I was fortunate-the weather was perfect, the lush gardens were in bloom, and despite these ideal conditions, there were hardly any people around. While wandering, I completely lost track of time, and before I knew it, the day had come to an end.
I wanted to capture this special feeling of a quiet stroll through charming gardens in a video. Nature speaks for itself, and I felt that any words would only detract from its beauty. So, it´s just a bit of music and a lot of Cotehele magic

I remember visiting Cotehele when I lived in England and vacationed with family in Cornwall and Devon. The gardens are as glorious as I remember, I also recall the dovecotes and stream. I have lived in Ontario, Canada 34 years and do miss the countryside and gardens
Thanks for sharing. I hope I brought you by the video a bit of that amazing feeling when you stroll around this garden... To me it was just some 15-16 years when I was there before this visit but all that time I remembered how charming the place is... And I always wanted to return :-)
I would love to re-visit …we managed to look around the gardens as covid hit & the house had just closed its doors . Such a beautiful place .
It is! I was there many years ago and although it was early October, it was still magical. I always wanted to re-visit when the garden is at its prime...and June was just the best time.. still fresh and quiet, all getting ready for summer warmth :) Hope my video make you feel a bit like you were back in this charming place :)
I live near Cotehele and it is one of my favourite places. It stays in the mind!
You are really lucky :). It is such a magical place... I couldn' t force myself to leave... when I returned in the afternoon to the house the volunteers were in shock I was still there.. I stayed till the closing time ...

:-D.. very true... I tried to wake her up but the few yawns was the only action she was willing to perform that lazy day 🙂
So much different to the gardens of Heligan which I visited only few days later ... they were absolutely crowded .. Which is why I kept this video so slow and lazy.. to preserve the slow sunny day 🙂
