Cutting holes in the doors is a perfect upgrade to a detail that GM overlooked.
Life is too short to cruise around with crappy tunes.
Just do a good job and never think about it again.
Great video and that is one sweet K10 CHEYENNE SHORT BED!
You did that truck a favor.
    Well done :-)

Bad enough to cut holes is a C10, but to cut holes in the doors of a short bed K10… nothing short of savage.

I have a 2003 Old car that it's becoming a "Classic", and I would never ever ever ever ever cut holes in the metal, as it can create RUST in the future as they are where water can run sometimes... and in the event that I do, I would spray at least some clear coat around the cut zone... and I would never use a screw into the floor for the same reason.. I dunno where are you doing this, but if you do have some cold snowy winters the salt used to melt it will for sure cause corrosion... oh well...
Also I would solder those cable end tips before insulated them with heat shrink plastic material..., well that's what I would do... :D

@@doityourselfbri You might have your friend double check his trucks VIN to verify the year of his truck. The doors he has are not 1972 doors. They're 1971 or earlier as the 1972 doors have a dimple and screw on the inside top just below the wind wing vertical post and lock. Nice install by the way.
