I second this comment. She's incredibly engaging and has natural charisma, communicates with such passion and conviction and most importantly is always improving her language and how she communicates an olfactory experience. I won't name names but some other channels stagnate in this respect and the content creators have absolutely no idea how bad their communication and language skills are; what in the hell am I supposed to do with words like 'delicious' 'creamy' 'elegant' 'intoxicating' 'gorgeous' and 'fruity'?! A rusty rotating carousel of 20 adjectives to pluck from. The content creator I'm thinking critically about in particular in direct opposition to Anne, fundamentally cannot evolve and improve because they have no gift for communication and furthermore, seem to eschew constructive criticism. That's a grand disservice we all do to folks toiling enthusiastically within this brittle 'hashtag good vibes only/be kind' era. How to grow and learn if nobody tells you what is unpleasant to hear but will ultimately serve as truly constructive criticism? Instead, this shield flies up and people turn into fragile robots bleating 'good vibes only good vibes only good vibes only'. Smaller channels than the big one I'm thinking of are FAR FAR FAR more deserving of a high subscriber count and the reason they aren't as popular embarrasses me to consider-- I certain can't elaborate in a comment section, it's far too much second-hand embarrassment and I feel ashamed of the low standards and superficial requirements of my fellow viewers. Anne is head and shoulders above many folks out there and she deserves to fly into the stratosphere. Top marks to someone visibly improving with each video.

I cannot wait for Paulina's fragrance with navitus to come out - I really hope you will do a video on it. I will have to wait till the discovery sets come back but Paulina's fragrance will probably be my first navitus. I am guessing her version is going to kick burning cherry out of the park so fingers crossed because that one is lovely but the longevity is not what I expected.
I plan on trying it out! I'm very excited for her :) I have yet to try Kayali's Lovefest!

Angel Muse doesn’t smell good on me but I own a bottle because I just love smelling it from the bottle and on other people, I’m weird that way. 😂 most beast mode fragrances don’t perform beast mode on me, or they will be beast mode the first hour but won’t last long on my skin. Initio, Bond no9, Tiziana Terenzi and Carolina Herrera confidential line fragrances are the brands that usually last on me. I love love love Gris Charnel and Gris Charnel extrait. And I have 2 back up bottles for the Gris Charnel Extrait.😊

The boldest, most beast mode fragrance in my collection is Chai by Baruti. Absolutely love it, but it's a beast. And I'm afraid it's not exactly a crowdpleaser. So I have to be careful for the occasion with this one. Only downside: both my husband and my son hate this perfume. And because it's not quite subtle, I feel like I should take that into consideration. So, just for every once in a while. But ooohh how l love it.

I'm dangerously close to buying Liis' 'Bo' fragrance. I've surpassed the 'burning with curiosity' response after hearing the way you talk about it and now just feel quietly confident about my loving it. Out of curiosity, is Hermes' 'Ambre Narguile' discontinued? I can't find it available anywhere in Europe or the UK. I've searched high and low. I'm hesitant to try and find a substitute; how similar is Parfums de Marly's 'Oajan' to Ambre Narguile? Does 'Angel's Share' have that wonderful McDonalds spiced apple pie note in it? What I love about Narguile is that the hook note remains in the heart, which is rare. The key issue which may lead me to a "dupe" for it is, of course, its legendarily awful performance. I'm not keen to pay that sort of money for something that nobody can smell. Beyond infuriating. Why do perfumers and houses with decent budgets insist on cutting corners like this and coming up with bogus rationalising terms like 'skin scent'?! Can anybody tell me about Oajan and Angel's Share in terms of how they perform as well as that gorgeous apple pie note being present? I love your channel.

I'm not sure if Ambre Narguile is discontinued or not, but a great substitute is Angels Share! I wasn't a fan of Oajan. It's a cinnamon bomb, a touch more masculine, and it also turned a bit sour on my skin. Angels Share is gonna give you spiced cinnamon apple cider pie vibes served with cognac and it performs very well! Other great options to try out in that family are Giorgio Armani Stronger with You Intensely and Attar Khaltat Night ❤️

I forgot to mention that I MUCH prefer the original Gris Charnel, even though it isn't as good a performer as I expected. I wonder what other people think of the two when compared? The extrait on my skin has an instant and long lasting presence of a very bitter green note mixed with a smoky phenolic note and a fresh aromatic ingredient of some kind. It blasts up my nose like wood polish-- it's like a bitter hurricane that throws that gorgeous fig and tea right out of the equation and batters the creamy sweet sandalwood into what I envision as a bronze and charred-wood1970s brutalist coffee table instead. I love the idea of a creamy fig with some tea and a gorgeous sandalwood-- the original is just beautiful, so well balanced. On me, the aforementioned note triangle from heaven deforms in the Extrait version; it morphs from beautifully balanced, elegant equilateral triangle to an isosceles triangle, oozing sideways off the page and tasting like old pennies, vintage wooden furniture and smoke. I will give it another try in the future, but for now, I'll stick with the OG.😅 A shame, as Gris Charnel original performs terribly on my skin. Such a frustration. I loved hearing you talk about YOUR great successes with performance, I was excited just to see the title of the video let alone watch it! 😆

@@AnneLauren Oh, the final dry down of the Extrait is beautiful, I recognise it's glory during the final stretch of its lifespan on my skin. Shame I can only smell it when I crush my nostrils up against my forearm, ha. If it were like that the whole way through then I could join you all in evangelising about it 😄 At least I have the OG so there's a home run in there somewhere!

I have! It's fantastic!! Sometimes syrupy sweet fragrances with a dark note can be a touch much for me, but I think it's a 10/10 regardless :)
