  • We are very lucky as the famous Maya Guy has made an awesome Intro to Bifrost for complete beginners tutorial. Bifrost is free and a VFX system built into Maya already. It's incredibly powerful, and Phil will walk you through it from the very start.
If you want to learn more, you can see his more in-depth tutorials at 👉 / mayaguytutorials and see his amazing art at: 👉 www.mayaguy.com
    --------------------------------
🔥 Class Creatives has offered my viewers a massive 25% on Unlimited Pro master classes. Access with code SAVEARTLIFE: bit.ly/SAVEARTLIFE
    --------------------------------
Maya Guy will walk us through setting it up, and the must-know basic fundamentals of instancing anything in your scene. You'll be surprised at the massive polygon count Bifrost can handle compared to something like Maya's native nParticles.
In the lesson we have used a basic biped walk and jogging cycle imported as alembic caches. But you can use anything! simple geometry, full characters, text for motion design etc.
👉 If you want the actual characters used in this lesson and complete Maya file, you can get them by supporting my channel at: / animatorartistlife - Not only will you get this, but my other lesson project files, VIP content and access to a private Discord channel where you can get personal feedback and advice on your work from me.

Hi, I'm not sure what you are asking? This is BiFrost which is built into Maya. Houdini is amazing also but I've not had the chance to try it, thanks

    Step 1 : get frustrated
Step 2 : switch to Blender or Oudini for that kind of stuff

Houdini is awesome for sure. Bifrost can produce amazing vfx. I hope this video has helped ease some frustration, thanks for watching 😊

I’ve used all 3 professionally, BF totally has its place and I regularly use it on big projs, but you need to be tenacious. Lots of things make it easy to walk away.
