I just hope we get an actual train, I love trains and especially love the world war 1 combat trains that had multiple cannons and covered in armor. It’d be so cool to have a daemon engine train just crashing through enemies. I’d be fine with just a bunch of individual engines each counting as a unit that you can link together instead of pulling mortars to make a train as long as I can chug chug through rats with my train.
i find the infernal guard very interesting using their dishonored kin as guards rather then suicidla naked men the straight the other direction which makes sense considereing how few they are
Truly one of the most tragically forgotten race by GW. Dwarves have always been a great race in warhammer, the lack of focus on their dark cousins has always bothered me. Thanks to you sotek and other channels like you information on them is much easier to find and much more concise. Thank you as always for your content.
8 : 03 The Dark Elves/Druchii actually do have some limited form of respect for their dead, if I remember correctly. Although this probably comes more from their ancient traditions rather than something like "concern". Druchii bodies are generally burned, sometimes in an almost respectful fashion if they were someone important, but they usually show no such courtesy to their enemies or dead slaves. Furthermore, there are a number of ancient crypts in Naggaroth that date back to their initial colonisation of the continent. These crypts are sometimes protected by the Autarii/Shades tribes, mainly due to there being no end to Druchii city folk trying to make some small fortune by grave robbing. This information is correct if you are willing to believe my flawed memory of the Malus Darkblade novels. / and sorry about my Druchii-related tangent on your Chaos Dwarf video, haha. I just kinda got carried away.
Chaos Dwarfs do as well, but its old lore, they take their honored dead, and burn them, if they can not bring them back to Mingol Zharr-Naggrund they do so on the battlefield with large funeral pyres.
@Sotek, longtime lurker. First time to comment on your vids. Thanks for this quality upload my friend. It’s a joy to hear you talk about Warhammer lore, be it in a more ad-lib form like recently with all the TWWH updates, or in a more story based form like you have done in the past. This is another gem; a true and complete overview of the Chaos Dwarfs, and you nailed it. Keep up the good work! And thanks on behalf of all the silent watchers not commenting!
Hey thank you for making this, the chaos dwarves are one of the most interesting factions in all of fantasy. It's kind of a shame that they aren't in 40K
Yay! It’s up! I was happy to help… even though all I did was ask questions and attempt to help organize, but it was fun to work with everyone on the Discord!
Virgin chaos worshipper:You shouldn’t worship a minor chaos god! It’s better to worship one of the four main ruinous powers! CHAD Chaos Dwarfs:HASHUT!VORGUND!ZHAR-NAGGRUND!
They'll probably be balanced out by being more expensive/elite with lower model counts or higher prices. Additionally, they'll probably have a tough campaign position and other campaign challenges to balance them out.
Can chaos dwarves go back to their old regular Dawi ways and mindsets if they try hard enough or if they are effected by something? Think Darth Vader going back to the light side after seeing Palpatine mess up Luke
I don't expect this to be seen, but on the second question(unless you correct it later on, and if so I apologize) you did not mention the Female Templar Order known as the Harridans, even though you mention the Wulfrik the Wonder Novel as a source, and their taken from there, so im kinda confused, missing them is like missing the Kolossal from the Grudge Bearer Novel, they stick out like a sore thumb as something thats both cool and unique. To the like 1 guys who apparently reads my comments on Chaos Dwarf Videos, their Chorf Women past their prime, past childbearing age, they seem to be given two choices, join the Temple of Hashut as his Priestess, or....lets just say if we go to the old unpublished WFRPG 1st edition lore, they willingly go to be sacrificed to Hashut, as the Dark Lands are a place of little, and so resources are vital to the Dawi Zharr's survival. In the old lore its also stated outright that the Chorf's have Harems, nearly all women belong to said Harems, Harems are not just for the Sorcerer Caste, but its damn near it, meaning these Harridans are the Wives, and Daughters(perhaps even Daughter Wives) of the Sorcerer Prophet, thus they go from being his wife in the bedroom, to being his bodyguard in the Temple, with the Immortals still serving as the true elites. Harridans come with heavy armor(making it nearly immposble to tell their women) and hammers, something the Chorf's don't really use, so its a real nice addition to the army... The fact I never see them mentioned tells me GW wants them doa, so sadly I think we will have to hope modders somehow manage to save the day.
There actually was an apearance of chaos dwarf women in Wulfriks light novel in the Warriors of the Chaos Wastes Omnibus. They were pretty much slaves shackled to the sorcerer lord shaven bald and heavily scarred. Kept more like twisted concubines and breeding stock for the highest ranks of the dawi zhar..
Ah, I found the exact mention. Warriors of the Chaos Wastes Omnibus, Wulfrik, Chapter 7, Pages 116-118. "Wulfrik noted the cluster of dwarfs standing upon the platform. Some were the ragged slavers who had survived the battle at the gate, others were bald dwarfs with scarred faces who wore red robes and bronze breastplates. Wulfrik decided they were priests of some sort." Later, the sorcerer wulfrik is facing executes the lead slaver for failure, shortly after this occurs: "The bald dwarfs turned on the other slavers, piling on them......raising the mattocks and pulverising the faces of the struggling captives." Then wulfrik and his band engages the dwarfs and their leader, here is is revealed that their foes are women: "The other humans were busy fighting the robed acolytes. Each of the bald dwarfs had seized a heavy hammer and followed their theign into battle. The northmen were shocked to find that their foes were women. Dwarf mothers too old to produce children." Taking this into account, the dwarfs likely do protect their women closely, but only so long as they can fulfill the role of mothers. As soon as they become barren, if not sooner, they become just another body for the dwarf war machine, or perhaps servants of the lord or lesser priests.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the dwarves of the east were separated during the Time of Woes, when the Skaven messed up the world pretty hard.
Hmm so those dwarfs were besieged by the Tong for almost a century and then they turn to hashut, turn into chaos dwarfs and just leave their hold to found an empire? How did they manage that? Did they destroy their opponents, or did the Tong just say: "Oh hey...whadder yup to?...um.. now you are kinda like us, I guess? Ok good luck!"
I think that the Tong, after so many time, lost interest and left them relatively alone, but the Dwarfs didn't get out of their holds because they knew that if they left the safety of the Dawi Strongholds, the Tong would come back to slaughter them. Eventually, they did left the safety of their homes, but this time under the protection of their new mighty and terrible Dark God and their new horrible half-demon half-machine creations.
If they have few female and are a small population, but at the same time have constant war around their cities, how do their population not dwindle to extinction on the long term ?
I’d say the big hats might work for the lords and heroes (and maybe folks in charge of war machines), while the less extravagant helmets might work for the mainline troops
Great video mate
Bruh
Your an iron warrior valrak.
So, I am definitely not the only one back here on the hype from the DLC trailer.
It's funny that Chaos Dwarfs seem to have redemption in life as a possibility of their slayer ritual but the normal dwarfs dont
After the Chaos Dwarfs DLC trailer, here we are. My body is ready.
YES, The chaos train has no breaks. IT HAS BEGUN!
But does that train have a Daemon engine and does it pull along a dreadquake mortar?
I just hope we get an actual train, I love trains and especially love the world war 1 combat trains that had multiple cannons and covered in armor. Yup. I'm pretty sure I remember something like that from the second or third Darkblade novels.
Chaos Dwarfs do as well, but its old lore, they take their honored dead, and burn them, if they can not bring them back to Mingol Zharr-Naggrund they do so on the battlefield with large funeral pyres.
I've been looking forward to this! Just don't slaughter yourself sotek!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!
Who else is watching this to get hyped for the dawi zharr next month?
Praise Hashut! Death to the false Emperor!

I love Chaos and Dwarfs. This is perfect.
CHAOS DWARVES CHAOS DWARVES CHAOS DWARVES! i cannot wait for them in tww3
They just have such a cool aesthetic. I’ve always been a huge fan of Dark Iron dwarves from Warcraft.
"Which I will refer to as BS going forward"
For a moment I thought you have a major issue with the lore and are calling it out XD
Curious if these videos will get a bump now
Loremaster's Q&As are the best Warhammer content on CZcams. Thanks man!
As long as they aren't wasted and ruined as a cheap preorder.
They need a full campaign pack.
Agreed, chaos dwarfs is the faction i look most forward too and they shouldn't be done half assed
Jumping in here in prep for a good old refresh for the coming Total War Dawi Zharr!
They better add all the crazy stuff the Dwarves are missing if they add the even nuttier chaos dwarves.
By Sigmar! Finally nice to see the Q&A. Feels like we’ve been waiting forever, super hyped for this!
Getting me even more hyped for the Chorfs. They look absolutely gorgeous, and a battle between them and tomb kings would be cinematic.
Something to listen during my Astragoth campaign
I'm listening to this as I play Chaos Dwarfs now... Year ago I never thought they'd come out, pretty surreal tbh.
Between Nurgle and the C-D I can't wait to see these out on the field man! thanks for the vid!!
A man after my own heart!
I just gotta say that the amount of effort you put into this is staggering, massive kudos
Yay! It’s up! I was happy to help… even though all I did was ask questions and attempt to help organize, but it was fun to work with everyone on the Discord!
i am playing that race right now in Warhammer 3 and watching your video at the same time! it's an bearded chaos orgy, let me tell ya!
I love green skins, chaos, and dwarfs. Chorfs combines all 3. I’m in love.
The chaos dwarf q&a Was the loremaster of sotek Version of Dre's Detox.
Thanks Sotek
and that guy who gave everyone on chat in twitch subs
This is set to be a very treasured series. Thank you sotek!
Came here from Legend of Total War
Virgin chaos worshipper:You shouldn’t worship a minor chaos god! It’s better to worship one of the four main ruinous powers!

Chaos Dwarfs are gonna be so OP when they're released lol
They'll probably be balanced out by being more expensive/elite with lower model counts or higher prices. Additionally, they'll probably have a tough campaign position and other campaign challenges to balance them out.
Praise Hashut! I love chaos dwarfs and I look forward to following this series.
Praise Hashut!
thank you i love the dwarfs but these are an even better version of them
I'm here because of legend if total war.
I have been wishing for a video like this forever because I really love the chaos dwarfs thank you
Epic amount of work 💪 thanks for bringing all this together
Easily the best warhammer lore channel. Your belegar videos are my favorite.
A very extremely awesome Q&A video as always Loremaster of Sotek. Yeah the Tong were very insane, they make the Kurgan look like children.
Can chaos dwarves go back to their old regular Dawi ways and mindsets if they try hard enough or if they are effected by something? Think Darth Vader going back to the light side after seeing Palpatine mess up Luke
Nope their soul belong to hashut, they cant rebel against him as they are dependant in a way
Plus unlike the dark side, with Chaos corruption I don't think there's actually a way to kick the habit.
You are a chad, I've been waiting for this series

Yesss, a new Q&A! It's been so long!
Simply marvelous!
Amazing and well-worth first episode....Looking forward to that section titled "weird questions" :D
Here as well because of LegendofTotalWar
More Chaos Dwarfs!!
I love all your Dwarf videos, even if they`re tainted. Thank you sir!

Huh interesting
Great info. The CD are grimdark af.
I love myself some Gothic Music in that ending. Great Q&A!
Heck yeah dude. I've been going back and listening to the Greenskins Q&A again but im primed for some chaos jazz
OOOOOOOOO Q&A SERIES IS BACK!!!!!!
An excellent first episode
Very much looking forward to playing this faction
and learning more beforehand ^^

Now , Chorf is unleased
Omg the Q&A RETURNS!!!
I thought more of Hashut was coming!? I guess you meant next episode, really looking forward to it!
Aw Yiss! I was waiting for another one of these.
It is funny how even dwarfs and chaos dwarf differ even in with their « slayer ». Dwarf slayer have no armor and their dark kin are fully equipped
Thanks Sotek. Greatly enjoyed the A&A
YES! its here
Hey great video! Subbed
Looking forward to part 2, great job :)
Most anticipated
Oh man I've been waiting to get more info on these guys!
Woop woop I can't wait to watch when I get home
This was great I can't wait for the next
thanks for this, cannot wait for an AOS 3 release :)
I hope there will be regular Dwarfs and Chaos Dwarfs in 3
If they have few female and are a small population, but at the same time have constant war around their cities, how do their population not dwindle to extinction on the long term ?
It’ll be a great PAID DLC
Been waiting for this forever lol
Hey I know green skins was awhile ago but dose anyone know what’s the deal with them and checkered pattern print?
God I hope the Dawi get a serious, serious update after this.
I just REALLY hope that they get cool ironbreaker style helmets and not those derpy big hats
I’d say the big hats might work for the lords and heroes (and maybe folks in charge of war machines), while the less extravagant helmets might work for the mainline troops
@@tompotter8703 fair enough
Na. Assyrian style armor. So, more old school, but not 100%.
YYYEEEESSS new Q&A wooo
50 years before they realized they were fucked? that's a lot of patience
Great work. Thank you
WOOOOAH IT'S HAPPENING!!!!
o my god this took for eveeeeeeeer
it's about damn time.
@Loremaster_of_Sotek nice content as always, do you expect dawi-zhar as the pre order race or the ogres?
"BS" was not the careful choice of letters ;).
Nice!
Finally at long last
Q5. In the beginning their was darkness, then their was the big bang, then..... 😂
So did we ever get any hints about what actually happened with the Ancestor Gods disapearing?
Fuck yes. Looking forward to all of these 😁
Thanks for the timestamps.
Wonderful !
I find it odd that the Chaos Dawi have a redemption path at all when the Dawi do not
where's the skyrim tavern music??? what kinda heresy is this??
How do the infernal ironsworn eat with a metal plate welded to their faces.
Yas!
Thank you very much!
Finally, yay!!! \o/
