I am asking you this because in the trilogy Vlad is the one who is not 100% sure if he loves Isabella and she is the one who madly falls in love with him. In fact Vlad recognises that he is in love with her at the end of "the court of the crimson queen"

I suggested Eltharion because the three I would have suggested to fight Vlad were Tirion, Malakith, and Settra who you have done already and I remember hearing he was the second most broken character for the high elves and thought it would be a good match. The thing that irked me about the MMO Rift is that the name is close to an old TTRPG called RIFTS. It's a mash up of fantasy and future post-apocalyptic. When I tried Rift I was super bumbed out that it was all fantasy not even magi-tech like The Magic Nation of Lazlo.

They need elite infantry. Valkyries(they have that in Blood Bowl) for offensive elite infantry. Shield Maidens as defensive elite infantry. Yhetee as monstrous infantry although its overlap with Ice Trolls. Basilisk & Dread Maw can be monster options. Vikti can be support hero unit with healing ability like Kislev Patriarch since they're more of healers in tribes with shamanistic roots rather than a sorcerer-shaman.

The sad thing about DPS is that the only time you get a short wait time before a "Duty" is during the newbie armor (Smiths) quests or if you're over leveled that you can solo the dungeon (ARR relic weapons). Another thing that is fun about the Smith quests is the fight music is lifted from Dragon Quest's combat music I think.

Im planning a warhammer fantasy rpg 4e campaign, maybe writing some short stories centered around my homebrew city of Dieterspende. One of the supporting characters of the campaign is a vampire pirate named 'Jolly Rodger', or Rodrick von Carstein to his adopted family who want nothing to do with him. I had it in my notes that he was originally sired by Vlad back in the first vampire wars after Vlad made it to the Reik and found him as a mercenary captain who impressed him and he took a liking to, and was willing to betray the empire for the right price. The offer vlad made was immortality, and the opportunity to be an imperial admiral, maybe even grand admiral of the new imperial fleet after vlad won. After that fell through, he took to traversing the high seas, raiding and plundering, but always coming back to the empire. Rn, the merchants guild of Dieterspende pays him off to both leave the city and its immediate trade alone, but also intercept any norscan raids from across the sea of claws This video informing me about Vlad helps me flesh out the relationship Rodger and Vlad had before vlad bit it, so much appreciated 🤓

The reason as to why there are so few skills & abilities you gain from leveling up is because they removed a SHIIIIIIT TON. With every new expansion they actually remove older skills and combine some. I still have filled out hotbars with the old skills. Though they have removed so many by this point I no longer have space for them. Unless I remove what I was using. So, that's the reason.

In regard to some of the talk around the 2 1/2-hour mark. I'm generally not a fan of human females playing large roles in combat unless they are augmented by magic, tech, mutation, blessings, or something that bridges the gap between them and men. In a setting full of war where populations must be maintained, women are so much more valuable not dying on the battlefield. On the battlefield, normal human females would be less effective than normal human males. Adding something that bridges the gap or elevates females above males is fine as long as it makes sense for the faction. I love Kislev's Ice Guard; I wouldn't love just a peasant female mob. Just because the setting is fantasy doesn't mean we should ignore real biology, but adding fantastical reasons to have females fighting is fine. Other races can do whatever they want as they are fantasy from start to finish so human logic need not apply. Also, it's my personal preference to not enjoy seeing violence done against women.

I think I would support a single faction dlc if they were frequent single lord releases, like every 2 months you get 1 lord and a small number of units for a somewhat reasonable price. If I gotta wait 6 months for a dlc, I can’t accept 1 faction, because that means 12 months for any faction to get an update besides the one

About the leaks discussion: legend is trying to share info on new dlcs in the hope of having CA rethink their actions… obviously noone wants an heavy focus on a single faction and legend is trying to prevent that and to make the game better with leaks to the community. That is how i understand it from his words 👍

In regards to Karanak, they did use the older design with The Changeling as well. The Changeling's hood has a collar around the neck, where as the older design used in Total War has a looser hood without a collar.

The reason as to why you get so many of the same loot in dungeons up to this point is because they removed a ton of loot you were able to get in the past. Including the full removal of belts from the entire game. Removing belts made it possible to increase the overall gear inventory slots. Also, many of the mechanics in the dungeons up to lvl 50 have been removed and the layout of the dungeons have been changed. The slime boss for an example required you to blow it up several times to split it. You were not able to kill it otherwise. But this required you to interact with a dynamite lever. Kind of a pain. All these changes came with the current expansion, so this was unchanged for 10 years. Kinda crazy.

Was worried you were not going to enjoy FFXIV because of the speed and the way you are playing. Normally people despise the first 50 levels of content because they want to get to the endgame now and the first 50 lvls of content is calm and slow. I'm glad to see that you enjoy absorbing the world, atmosphere and lore just like me. I played this game for 10 years. Stopped after finishing Endwalker because it was the end of the 10 year long story. Wonderful conclusion and I felt done with the game. A couple of months ago I have felt like I need to desperately relax and going to spas, onsens etc does not relax me. I need to leave reality and FFXIV is really good at that. I may just jump back in FFXIV, not to care and bother with any future story content, because the story is done from my point of view. But to just relax. I want to go back to all the lower lvl zones and do all the side-quests I haven't done and fully immerse myself into the world and the NPCs. When Heavensward launched, I did literally every single quest in that entire expansion. I'm in that mood again. Edit: May not be ideal to jump back in now that I checked the ping. I moved country. Literally to the other side of the world and the data center my characters are in gives me 240ms after pinging the server. Compared to 5ms when pinging the data center located in my new country. 100+ms I can deal with but 240ms is crazy high. I will have to consider getting it transferred if my friends back in my first country never intend to play the game again.

It's always so cringey to me folks following streamers around that are starting a new mmo so they can show off all their endgame gear

The thing about lancer/dragoon is, they have some of the flashiest and highest damage moves out of the melee classes, but their animations for some of those abilities cause them to jump all over the place. And inexperienced players typically jump into massive attacks and get wrecked immediately. But the good dragoons deal a lot of damage and look amazing while doing so.

Its addictive until you get to the 300000th main scenario quest (MSQ) and just think "Kill me." I didn't like how most of the game's content and mechanic's are 'gated' behind doing MSQ missions. To me its not a true MMORPG, there is little freedom.. its like most modern MMO's though that are just theme parks like you have to stay on the rollercoaster rails before it lets you do anything. FFXIV is just a single player game + some multiplayer instances where there are clones and clones of warrior of lights also doing the same thing (which makes little sense to me). The story was good for some of the expansions though. I liked Heavensward, but after that it became abit of a bore to me to keep doing endless MSQ's.

I also started in Gridania and the first time I went to Limsa Lominsa was so awesome, great theme and aesthetic.
