  • Speaking at a news conference following a meeting with Jewish students at Columbia University, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson said there "is an appropriate time for the National Guard" should the disruption from student-led pro-Palestine protests continue.

    I'll never understand what it is about pro-Palestinianism that makes certain people go absolutely off the walls.
    I want nothing to do with them. For the sake of the students on these campuses just trying to get through the end of the semester, particularly for the Jewish students who surely feel in danger, I hope sanity is restored.

    KENT STATE, I remember the times for the national guard and how that was handled. If Republicans were actually concerned about the safety of students on campuses, we'd have real gun control policies that protected innocent people from maniacs with AR15s.
