The thief doesn’t want the backpack, they want stuff in the bag so the carabiner doesn’t work to prevent theft.
Yeah, but the quickest way to get the stuff is to make off with the whole backpack. Not a 100% deterrent, but maybe enough to make the thief choose a different target.

Don’t have a Kanken but the bottle is pretty slim. If the Kanken can hold a regular plastic bottle, it’ll most likely fit this.

@excessorizeme I've held off on buying Nomad before because I remember reading that you're supposed to buy some leather conditioner and apply it on the wallet regularly to help it patina beautifully. I don't think I'll be able to make that commitment. Do you have that practise of conditioning your Nomad leather? Would you say it's required for Nomad products?

Quality luggage can't be understated. If you travel even just a couple of times per then get the decent luggage.
I have more flights than I can count, have rolled it over cobblestones, dirt roads, all kinds of craziness, and it was only $30 at Costco a long time ago. I am a little scared it might break soon, but you are completely wrong. Just like how migrants hike across countries with the cheapest bags made.
You have been luckier than I have it seems. I guess like many things in life, your mileage may vary.

I like the idea behind the locking carabiner, and I know you say it’s strong, because of the downward metal. But I carry a set of Bogotá lock picks with me everywhere I go. They’re so small they fit in my Ridge wallet! With those I could have that thing open in probably under five seconds. But even if we throw a lockpicks out of the equation, just a basic pocket knife or even something small like a bobby pin or hell I’m willing to bet McDonald’s straw, I could have that open in under 60 seconds. It’s a really cool concept and I was super into it, until I saw the key. I’m not trying to shit on it, because I actually really like the idea. I would love a locking carabiner, But it’s the same time I want you and the people watching this video who hopefully read this to know that that lock is incredibly insecure.
not to mention the straps could be cut with scissors. I get the idea but...😂
@@NewAgeToNewCreation I'm willing to bet it would take me longer to cut through that cable, than to pick that lock. It's not that difficult to make a cable that's at least a little tough to cut through.
The mirror on toiletry bag is okay wait... is that metal mirror or just mirror that can break if got hit hard? Imagine dropping that bag on the floor and you got the hard item inside hitting the mirror and it broke.
