  • Non-toxic leads have been available to buy for a while. However, they all have one thing in common: they don't look or perform that well. Evolve Tackle believes they have come up with a weight that looks, feels, and performs just as well as a traditional lead but is completely non-toxic.

    Respect for a company taking a chance to make a substitute for toxic leads

    They day I feel the need to drop a lead to land a fish is the day I give up 😂

  • @Itwasntalieitwastrueinmymind

    There is absolutely no excuse for dropping lead into lakes you claim to love that are inhabited by our beloved Carp

    The price should not be an issue. The people that drop the most leads . Are also the people who can afford to drop many leads. And they should feel obligated to use non toxic weights. I fish the smallest lead I can for the distance I need to cast. So I don’t feel like I need to drop the lead to get the fish up. I do understand heavy leads for distance and flow not moving them. Hopefully anglers will make the change if they feel the need to drop leads.

    Company that just entering the market, with same prices or near same as established companies, and should be cheaper. Leads should be fraction cheaper than real leads. However they have a good ideas, hope this will work👍

    Don't want to put a downer on these weights but I can't see them selling well if there more money the price of leads is a joke already in tackle shops

      You won't have a choice but to buy lead free in future given the new laws that are to be enacted regarding the use of lead

      TBH I can’t see why they would be that dear, lead is one of the dearest raw materials, so you would think you could manufacture them cheaper.

    I thought we stopped making leads out of toxic metal and they safe for the environment, you would think so anyway as when casting for a drop the crack back up the line is actually your lead hitting all the leads that have been ejected on the spot

      That was only the smaller shot as used when float fishing as the bird life/fish could ingest those smaller items which then poison them over time, bombs stayed as lead.

    I’m back carping again after a 40 odd year break ,
    Back in the day lead got banned ,,,,,,, when did it come back in .?

    • @Mikeyboofboof
      @Mikeyboofboof Před 28 dny

      Only ever banned in smaller sizes. Leads of the size used in carping have always been legal.

    Sod ejecting a lead most fishermen are clowns id rather lose the fish even a WR.
    Just fish with a safe rig and stop being greedy/wasteful.
