Thanks Herbert, I love your pre- highlight / post-wash technique, it’s a good and easy way of blending the layers together. Something I’m still struggling to do.
I really look forward to seeing these guys in action, I really miss your solo battle reports.

Great to see a painting video seems ages since we've had one.👍👍

Hey just a note for soviet troops to help address the whole accuracy thing
Due to different factories, recourses, quotas, and different workforces
Many soviet uniforms had a mix of tones, and even sometimes colors
Tans, we’re most common and an odd greenish color (I think most of this is from memory)
But that’s the plus side with ww2 Soviets, the logistics of the time allows for lots of variety and you can just say that they come from different parts of the Soviet Union
Your Forward Observers are beautiful and make a great addition to your army

Yep, I know that painting figures isn't your favorite thing. But yesterday I watched your stream and you added PE parts to the Panther by Vespid Models. I am quite sure that painting figures IS NOW your favorite thing! 😁
By the way: They look good and convincing. I like them.

Everything's going to hell; the world's economy is crashing, we're almost in WW3, someone got punched on stage at the Oscars, and MY HAIR IS ON FIRE!
Not because of any of that though. It's because...
    Herbert.
    Painted.
    FIGURES!
Quite nicely too. Arm's length may be too finicky. My small experience with wargaming suggests four feet or so for "good enough" detail. If they're *your* figures you can't help but notice every imperfection (pride in one's craft can be a pain sometimes) but as long as all the rest have roughly the right colors in roughly the right places so you can tell which army is which, roll the damn dice already, right?
Binocular Guy looks like he's just sighted a Tiger. The thing under Map Guy's elbow is probably a map case which should indeed be brown leather. Flag Gal is probably wearing a similar case for her flags.
You're getting better at this Herbert. Good to hear it was actually fun and relaxing. That means we'll see more, I hope.
(Your voice sounds much better lately. Hope that means you're better too.)
