Yeah for like 10 seconds. He got 1 hit did nothing.
Got a couple punches in and hit him with some lightning which did nothing.
Thanos stabbed his leg. Put his ass in the dirt. Broke his shield, then sent him flying till he laid on the ground defeated. Don't say cap laid a beat down like nothing when he lost that hard.

I love Thor charging Tony up with his lighting when he hit him with it in the first Avengers Tony's power charge went up 400% and Thor whacked him with mjinor I thought that was a hard hit but when Thanos used Tony as a shield he was out cold from that Thor must have used full force!

He's really awesome..👍🔥🔥
Other than maybe Steppenwolf from Justice LEague; Thanos is easily the most confident (and with good reason, not cause of cockiness or insecurity issues) villain you'll see for sure.
Dude, being here on opening night in 2019, around 11:00pm, this scene was insane.
Steve fighting with the Mjolnir is like the biggest fan service in cinema history
It's also a great nod to comic book canon. That's actually one thing I always loved about the MCU; it's actually LOADED with little callbacks if you know where to look. In this case, everyone expected Steve to be lifting Mjolnir originally back in Ultron, because they knew it had been done. It was clever the way they handled it, because they hinted at it, and most thought that was all there was to it, until this.
Best moment of all Marvels cinemas history ; When captain grabs the Hammer.
I love the way thanos flinches so hard when he hears something he doesn’t like but keeps his composure
This scene and the entire rest of the battle was the single greatest cinematic experience of my life
Ahhh the MCU at its highest point. Looking out across the horizon on the highest mountain with nothing but blue skies and pure entertainment. This is Marvel at is prime. I hope we can summit that mountain again because it was a beautiful experience!!
This right here, is my absolute favourite moment in the entire MCU. By far.

It's always heartbreaking to see Cap getting beaten up and watching his own shield crumble before his own eyes!!!!
he looked in horror seeing the blade pierce through vibranium like cotton O.O
@@ILoveRock143It shows that Thanos' blade was made out of a material that is _much_ stronger than Vibranium. Combine that metal with Thanos' superhuman strength and he can easily cut through the strongest and rarest metal on Earth like paper.
Thor should have gotten the dwarf to make another shield for him
@@DM-ev3fethere wasn't enough time
There have been plenty haters citing that Cap shouldn't have been able to use lightning since the hammer wasn't the source, but the hammer is more than likely still imbued with the magic that odin put on it, in that "whoever that wields this hammer, should he be worthy, shall wield the power of thor".

It's sad, but he hadn't faced an opponent that uses a sharp blade before. The shield completely absorb vibration, but it's not indestructible. It can be cut in half with enough force and a hard enough weapon because a slash doesn't produce much vibration.

Nobody has ever noticed this, but see how cap disarmed Thanos with the hammer and shield? 02:57
This is such a moment that called back to other moments in previous Avengers scenes. Thor charging up his lighting to help Iron Man (just like the first avengers when Thor and Iron Man fight over Loki). Cap using Mjolnir and his Shield to send that vibration at Thanos (like in AoU when Thor hits Cap’s shield and in the first movie as well in the same scene). Thanos trying to drive Stormbreaker in Thor’s chest (like in Infinity War). Thanos kicking Thor away (like how Hulk punches Thor in the Battle of New York). It shows how well these four characters learn and also are able to work off each other, it’s fun to see!

Im glad they gave Cap the hammer. He started feeling like an all talk side character
The best fight
I miss the MCU
It's still here what are you talking about?
If Tony is worthy and can wield Mjolnir he'd have an infinite source of energy.
This show was my entire childhood
Got chills the first time when I saw this in theaters. This is when it got back to being intense as Infinity War and showing how dangerously and ferociously Thanos was in this film as he was from an alternate timeline and doesn’t know the maturity he gets in the future. Because of that and his ego, Thanos was hellbent on killing anyone that moves and interferes with his plans. He was so dangerous enough that not even the most powerful heroes like Captain Marvel wasn’t enough to get rid of him and required Iron Man committing the ultimate sacrifice to eliminate him from the Sacred Timeline once and for all.
Lets break down Cap's moves here because it's really something else, it's not just strength, it's also some Cap's classic 'fast thinking tactical moves':
2:47 - Spinning the hammer to give it momentum, and because Thanos as strong as he is, isn't 'worthy' so he won't be able to 'stop' the hammer once it hits him. It's not a matter of force, not even the Hulk can make the hammer budge an inch if it doesn't want to.
2:50 - Swings up, hits him square in the jaw, sending him flying backwards and briefly caught off guard.
2:55 - Throws his shield at Thanos. Thanos will think it's a weak attempt to attack, but Cap was counting on him deflecting it.
2:56 - Throws the hammer at the shield to create a shock blast. He and Thor have been using this technique as a duo for ages but here he solos the move. Thanos doesn't see it coming because the hammer flies past him and thinks Cap missed.
2:58 - Thanos now with a sore head, and ringing ears, stunned and his weapon dropped.
2:59 - Knees him in the chest to move Thanos back away from the weapon he dropped.
3:00 - Hit Thanos's leg so his head comes down into striking range.
3:01 - Hammer to the face as Thanos's face comes down
3:02 - Two more hits for good measure, got him on the run.
3:03 - Thanos is further away from the strikes, so Cap uses the shield to hit his face instead, to keep him stunned.
3:04 - Already lining up the hammer to swing it at his shield as he's throwing the shield, to send it flying back into Thanos for a SECOND hit to the face with the shield.
3:07 - Lighting strike!
3:12 - Second lighting strike while he's still down!
Summary:
25 seconds, stunned and disarmed in 10 seconds, leaves Thanos defenceless and bewildered, then gets in 6 direct hits to the face and finishes with two 2 lighting strikes.
The fact that Thanos was able to recover so quickly to dodge Cap's next attack, is practically plot armour.
when cap picks up thors hammer,, greatness!!!
I'd give anything to see 15-30 more seconds of Cap kicking Thano's ass!
Too bad it only takes 5 seconds to see him get beat 😂

Thanos picking up that axe was crazy
Thanos's weapon is OP as fuck. Can be thrown like a boomerang, even though its heavy as sin.
Can absorb, even repel Ironman's fully charged beam.
Can chew through cap's shield.
Can toe to toe with mjolnir and the axe. damn
gone from fighting each other in a forest to teaming up to save the universe
Thanos is just an absolute tank. Just a diesel
Peak MCU ryt here
One of the greatest movie moments ever when Cap summons Mjolnir
He was just SO STONG, best mcu villian of all time, not even close

Thor getting beated like that was one of the most frustated thing for all of us when the movie was released
Especially considering that Cameo against Thanos in Infinity war
We all thought he would be invincible
How many of u can still hear the crowd going nuts, at cap lifting the hammer?
Cap using Mjölnir still gives me goosebumps.

Thor's absolute joy in knowing and confirming Cap was worthy the whole time is my favorite part of this scene.
How Ironic that Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America are the first people who fight Loki in the first Avengers and here the three of them stand against Thanos in their Final Movie.
