    Suspension arm on MERCEDES-BENZ E-Klasse Limousine (W124) (Baujahr 06.1993 - 06.1995) / MERCEDES-BENZ S-Klasse Limousine (W140) (Baujahr 01.1993 - 10.1998) cars should be changed, as a rule, according to one and the same procedure.

    Although a little more money but seems alot easier instead of just replacing the ball joint seperatly replacing the whole suspension arm with the ball joint already intact, seems alot easier for people like myself who don't have all the tools needed to do a separate ball joint installation, what do you think?

      @@autodocuk i think benz have produced 2.6 2.3 2.0 1.8 and 2.3 16 valve cosworth and 2.5 16 valve cosworth too

      @@jussiaho9089 And 2,5 .I drive one with 540,000 Kms and still mostly original, cheap to run because it is diesel. They also had a 1.8 liter version, I also have one of those, a 1991 model.

      It's a 1993 facelift model. I don;t think it sees the road very often as it's beautiful underneath.

    Disclaimer, these nuts do not come out as easy as it looks on the video, be prepare to transform into a super saiyan in order to knock them out of these bushings. :D

    Fehler Nr. 1: Die Muttern für die 2 Hauptlager des Dreieckslenker dürfen nur im Stand endfest angezogen werden, da sich sonst die Lager verspannen! Fehler Nr. 2: Die Exenterscheiben für die Sturzeinstellung müßen vor dem Ausbau am Träger genau markiert werden, so spart man sich die Spureinstellung. Ansonsten saubere Arbeit!

      Well...he does raise the lower control arm to where it is located when the car is seated on the ground. :) And 4 wheel alignment is NOT what this video is about..it is the different stages of replacing a lower control arm.:) Greetings from Norway :)

    What would you do if that one screw that holds the control arm on the wheel won't budge out of the hole? I used wd40 I tried heating it, tried hammering it , tried a pneumatic screwdriver.I was even jumping on it, even used a jack in order to move it... Nothing worked . What must have happened there so it gets stuck that way?
    The screw looks straight as it can be, I managed to unscrew the nut but the bolt won't budge. What must have happened and what can I do?

      @@autodocuk thank you for your reply , I would do it in a specialized car service if this wasn't Bosnia,, Haha.. I managed to remove it anyway, it was a painful experience but finally over. Some idiot in our "car service" reused a 30 year old bolt the last time he was replacing the ball joint. So much about our specialists.

      @@TheSign2020 i have a same problem as you except mine is 30 years old and no one ever touch that screw... how did you manage to remove it i've almost angle it by hitting her with 3KG hammer but she is not moving at all. i plan to use angle grinder.. what was your way ??

      @@michamatracki5739 I managed to unscrew the nut first with a small car jack, if the nut is the problem cut it off, for the bolt I first used the dremel cuting tool to loose it around the head of the bolt first, then I finally got mad just enough to punch it repeatedly with a normal sized hammer and it got out.

      @@michamatracki5739 a new bolt of that kind costs 30 cents , and our mehanics reused this old one when they were replacing the ball joint 5 years ago.. imagine that..

      @@deemdoubleu No problem. For clarification, i have 123 and 124 diesels. 201 is smaller car. It is more economical in every way. But i think it'd be a great daily driver.

      It is not grease, but copper grease, which prevents the bolts from boiling, it is enough in such an amount.
