I literally cried at this. I remember being heartbroken when Steve left. I resented Joe and stopped watching blues clues. And now... I have my own kids and they watch blues clues and they've never heard of Steve. Now after Joe it's now Noah or something. I missed Steve and this video makes everything feel so much better. I love this closure video.

Great reaction man.. I’m 31 now and I grew up with Steve watching Blue’s clues each morning with my brother. This video brought out the child in us before the responsibilites of adulthood. Having this glimpse of childhood joy really did made me tear a little bit when times were simple. I have a son now and I hope he’ll find a friend like Steve like he was to me.

Steve was my first best friend. I had a shitty childhood and he was the only person who played with me I could drown out the fighting drinking drugs abuse everything going on in my house as a kid and play with steve. Idk why but my stepdad told me he killed himself and I untill this video thought he was dead. I cried for days thinking he was dead. And that I thought he killed himself and i didnt like the new guy so i had nobody to play with anymore. This made me ball my eyes out it was also very trippy to me cuz all these years i thought he was dead. I've had alot of trauma in my life but i think this was one of the first worse ones that really fucked with me only cuz i thought he was dead and not just leaving the show which my abusive alcoholic drug addict ex stepdad told me just to hurt me which is fucked up and I'm just now realizing that he lied to me about him killing himself to hurt me. But this just took a weight off my shoulders that i didnt even know was there. This made me so happy.

The reason he left blue's clues is because his hair was falling out and the actor who played him is actually named Steve in real life and the reason why is because Steve Burns was losing his hair at the time and was getting he was going bald at the time so that's why he had to leave the show

I have to tell you, I watched this show in my childhood, and it was a shame to see Steve leave like that. Just tough as nails. I was very happy to see this message he made. While Joe and Josh have good qualities, we can all agree that Steve will always be #1.

If you want to know. the reason steve left was because he started really balding. and he didn't want people to see him lose his hair through the show.
he went off. was or is still in a rock band and it seems he's doing well for himself.

Now that I've thought about, I have came to an additional conclusion to what I already said a few months ago. In the event that this country finds itself in turmoil, heartache, misery, or any other form of chaos (like we have for the last two years), Steve would be the perfect adult in the room. When the first inception of Blue's Clues was on from 1996 to 2004, here's what was going on: Bill Clinton got impeached for getting blown in the Oral Office, Columbine happened, fears of the Y2K bug were high, there was the confusion surround the 2000 Presidential Election between Bush and Gore, the Wars in Afghanistan and (though Steve was gone by this point) Iraq had begun, and not only was the show on when September 11th happened, but the show was filmed in NYC's Tribeca district (which is in lower Manhattan and just a few blocks away from the World Trade Center). Steve would be the perfect adult in the room to address the nation, not some of these politicians in DC. Steve would also be the perfect adult in the room considering the fact that most people born between 1991 and 2005 grew up with Steve as the adult in the room.
Also, when I said that Steve and the show will never know how much of an impact he had on an entire generation of kids, myself included, I wasn't just talking about those who watched the show. Allow me to explain. I said that Sesame Street and Mister Rogers Neighborhood helped grow kids educational television in the 70s and 80s while Steve and Blue's Clues helped shape kids educational television in the 90s and 00s. If you look at other shows that came on after Blue's Clues, you will see that a lot of them had similar elements towards Blue's Clues. On Nick Jr. alone, there was Dora the Explorer, Team Umizoomi (which featured Joe in it), and Bubbles Guppies. Not only on Nick Jr., but also their competitors were inspired by them. On Playhouse Disney/Disney Jr., the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse had inspirations from Blue's Clues. On PBS Kids, there was a show called Super Why. Not only did Super Why have a ton of similarities to Blue's Clues, but one of the people who worked on Super Why also worked on Blue's Clues. In fact, going a step further, one of Super Why's production companies was called "Out of the Blue", an homage to the worker's former project. So even if you didn't watch Blue's Clues, you probably watched one of the other shows I mentioned. That's what I mean when I say that Steve influenced an entire generation of kids, regardless of if you watched Blue's Clues or not, and regardless of if you watched Nick Jr. or not.
