I love technology with security
This seems great. Might give it a try! I have their curtain bot and it's amazing.
SwitchBot is one of my favorites company.
Good quality videos
Thanks.
Would you tell me please how to reset used switchBot lock to another internet because I didn't have receipt which recommended by application ?
Will it work on UK night latch rim locks?
Would you choose this over August? I like this and want to try this as My August doesn't have a fingerprint sensor are there locks that you don't have to change the lock besides this that has a fingerprint? Also suprised your not at 1 million subscribers yet.
???????? After proper installation, if all of us always prefer to use our house keys to lock and unlock it several times per day the old fashioned way, will this wear out the gears or stress the motor or injure the prdt in any way ???????????????
I like how you talk with your hands LH😂
I bought the new Eufy retro fit, and the keypad seems to be quicker than the Switchbot
Hey @lifehacker love your videos. Has given me lots of information over the years for smart tech.
Can I ask if the bolt can simply be turned from the inside of its set to be locked. I’m looking for something like this for my garden gate.
can it lock even keyed entry?
I would really like to see if this works on a glass sliding door
i want to know if you can use this to disarm the ring alarm
Unfortunately, No.
Hello, does it work well without a handle outside ?
yes.
@@LifeHackster Thank you
If the door is unlocked and you are leaving, can you use the keypad touch to lock the door?
Yes. There is a lock button

The August locks do the same thing.... But have a much better install.

The lock in the video is different than the one they have been shipping.
I own a switchbot curtain that keeps getting stuck and à switchbot bot that does not respond to commands half of the time. As far as i'd want to like this brand, it's kind of a mixed bag for now.
My concern with any of these products is that their app can be compromised or who owns the company as I don't want my personal information accessed
Who will actually access your information? What information do you think will be valuable to anyone if they do? It's not as if you're entering financial or personal information. The only information needed is an email address. You can always setup an email that is specifically for the service(s).
If you do find that your information is compromised, it's likely from someone you already know, and it's likely they didn't get if from any of these companies anyway because the person that compromised your info has more access to your day-to-day information anyway.
Don't over think the information that you provide to the companies. It's really much of nothing that the everyday person has access to. Unless of course, if you live in a neighborhood full of advanced hackers. Easy, or difficult hacking is a very rare thing. You will when the biggest lottery in history and be struck by lightning in the same day before you come across someone that can get into your system of any sort.
Switchbot hardware is really good, but their app is terrible in so many ways.
Seeing all the vulnerabilities in wireless keyfobs for cars, there is no way I would connect my front door lock to any wireless spectrum.
