I'm absolutely smitten with Tom Hollander! I first saw him ages ago in Absolutely Fabulous, and he's been so good in everything over the years. Recently, he was very memorable in The White Lotus and Bird Box, and I'm thrilled to see his portrayal of Truman Capote. He is so talented, and seems quite charming and funny in his interviews. I'm so happy to see him in anything he does.
No one talks about Tom Hollander on Pride and Prejudice! Haha His character was hilarious with the Bennetts. I can’t wait to watch this showwwwwww

attempt to portray Capote. !! He was too clever and creative to be
copied, like trying to copy the
Mona Lisa. ! And for money no less.

Completely agree! "Underappreciated" is right. Lane should be getting material Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Helen Mirren are getting.

Diane Lane was Married to Josh Brolin, whose Stepmother is Barbra Streisand! And yes, she should be getting more parts! Maybe this role will help!
@martinjeeves444 I wouldn't necessarily say she's "forgotten." If there's one major role of hers that always comes to people's heads, it would be her performance in 'Unfaithful.' After 22 years, people are still mentioning that film and how great and sexy she was in it. Plus, it always comes up in articles in the top best erotic thrillers and sexiest film scenes of all time.
But I hear what you mean. She deserves better quality roles. She was great in the film 'Let Him Go' from 2020 with Kevin Costner.
I'm excited to see her in this show.
@@mattbernabe I agree. 'Let Him Go' was awesome! In the UK it came out the weekend all the cinemas closed due to Covid... so it was completely unseen. In the UK literally NOBODY knows her sadly. Those who do... just say... "I vaguely remember her... isn;t she Laura Dern's mum?' (Diane Ladd).
RIP Treat Williams, remarkably talented actor and seemed like a lovely, genuine, gentleman.

Tom Hollander is outstanding portraying Truman Capote. Had to keep reminding myself that he really wasn’t Truman. He deserves an award for his performance. In fact, all The Swans were good. Anything Ryan Murphy does is great.
Like Naomi said, Tom is CRUSHING the part of Capote - it's astonishing, honestly, how deeply embedded in the character he becomes, and how the camera gets RIGHT UP in his face during some of his monologues ... and that VOICE, so perfectly captured.
Great acting! They immersed themselves in the characters and time period.

Philip Seymour Hoffman won the academy award for Capote, but I gotta say Tom Hollander is the quintessential Capote. Capote cannot be acted by anyone else now.

Disgusting and VILE SHOW... maybe it would have been a good enough story to tell and to watch if it was about the story without all the inappropriate sexual content and vinyl language it just goes to show that you know people can't figure out how to tell a good story without putting a bunch of crap in it and then ruining it for no reason
