When they saw that ola & uber were exploiting their commissions and shortchanging them, they got together into a collective and developed their own App and could offer rides at much lower rates and successfully signed up such a significant customer base that they are no longer dependent on those big ride aggregators for business. Women cinema professionals must come together in a collective and start making films in a non-sexually exploitative work culture. They should sign up women film workers including actresses and technicians a safe work environment based on meritocracy and equal & fair renumeration model. They should ensure the films they make are of superior quality. Only then will this model be successful. They should simultaneously campaign in public esp. women to watch films, that are produced in the collective that preserve dignity of women and are made in a positive environment free from sexual-exploitation so characteristic of the conventional predatory male driven film mafia.
