No I think that was edited by the production team, to let the note come through nicely. The cheering stopped too abruptly for it to be natural pausing of a crowd that big.

Chris Fer she wasn’t nervous crying. In the full audition she talks about her close friend who passed away from suicide. They did music together so she was crying about him.
It wasn't nervous crying, it was all of the emotion and the pain that she poured from losing her friend into the song.

This is one of the most moving blind auditions I think I have watched. I could feel the emotion and power behind every word and note she sang. Wish she would have made it further in the competition.
It's those notes that Whitney hit that make this song so damn iconic and give you goosebumps and shivers when others nail it in their auditions.
I have listened to this song many times, in any version and sung by anyone, but until now I had never found someone who was so close to Whitney's singing skills and interpretation.
