It’s about loss of innocence I guess, grown Katy lost her innocence but had learned a lot. In the mv I think little Katy goes through a series of episodes in which they both learned not to trust appearances etc and at the end she gifts Katy with a tiny butterfly(symbolic of hope I guess) and she’s on a stage meaning that some dreams come true(as if in a fairytale) even if reality of life crushes down.
