This is quite misleading. Elisaku, the other person that did this speedrun, had done it in a random seed. That's very very different to Dom's run, that was done in set seed, when Dom knew almost everything about the world he was playing over and over again, and knew the exact route to getting all advancements, and chose the perfect world to do it.
Elisaku had to reset many different worlds to get his run, and he knew nothing about them prior to playing them.
He also probably faked the time

after watching the video i can see you were using set seed. now you werent hiding it in the video but claiming the previous record is elysaku when he used a random seed is very misleading. there are alot of places in the video that make me question the legitimacy of this run even as SSG, is there a way I can watch the full footage?
also look at his day counter at 6:47 its 36 days even though the timer says 4 and a half hours

List of stuff i found sus:
1. he had 0 xp at 0:33 despite having 6 blaze rods (you have HAD to picked up atleast some of the blaze rods. this means he either gave himself the blaze rods or died and respawned)
2. literally EVERY single time that you attempted to kill the ender dragon and died, you had the exact same amount of xp (if u wanna see, go look at 1:04 , 1:08 , 1:12 , 1:25
3. going from 1 ancient debris to 5 netherite ingots in 15 minutes (must be legit)
4. kinda weird how the timer u edited in was working the entire time until the end (u prob got a much slower time, but u said u sped it up to save your ego)
5. blud cant do math. the difference in yours and elysakus time was 6 minutes not 8 buddy
6. elysaku did his run in a random one, while you did a set seed, so thats just a skill issue on your part
7. He lied about the time once, and prob many more: look at 6:47 it says day 36 which is 12 hours and the timer says 4 and a half hours

Y'know what? Considering the fact that he lost by six fricking minutes, it feels like you should just leave him to his misery. Even on a set seed, I would bet that you couldn't do it and neither could I. I get that this might outrage some people, but this is still a great achievement and maybe you should rethink what you said.

for example:
at 1:49, his bucket reappears magically
at around 4:00, he gets 20 ancient debris in 12 minutes (1 debris per 36 seconds)
a 6:47, he's on day 36, which would take around 12 hours to reach. the timer shows 4 hours and 24 minutes. so clearly the timer is just fake.
minecraft also has 82 advancements (in the version he's playing), not 81
he's obviously pre-scouted the seed and spent time finding things in advance

It's likely not legit. Too much cutting. Also the WR (not former as he says like every 4 seconds) is a random seed and not set seed as he is using. I'm also the seed finder who found this seed for AASSG sooo lol.

Why he fotgot mathematics
1 day in Minecraft is 20 minutes it means 36 days x 20 = 720 Minutes÷60 = 12 hours
Very entertaining video, sharp editing, good pacing, and a pretty good way to present minecraft speedrunning to as broad of an audience as possible. I do feel the need to question a few things.
1. "My timer stopped working in the end": The entire timer was added during post, maybe you were using a real timer live but idk
2. There is a 6 minute difference in the final times, not 8.
3. In the description you write that Elysaku is the "previous" world record holder. He is still the world record holder.
4. Any full run link? Is this run even close to verifyable? Probably not.
5. The luck with the trident drowned is insane. He dropped not only a trident, but also a gold ingot, in addition to holding a shell. Very lucky.
6. You dug down straight on top of ancient debris, then all of a sudden had enough for a full set of armor? Probably pacing, perhaps duping.
7. We all know the "A seedy place" Advancement is practically impossible and was added as a joke by Mojang. There is no way you could have ever completed it in under 9 hours.
There are probably other things that I am missing, feel free to respond to this with anything else you see. Dom, if you see this, I really just want a link to the full run. It's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't trust you. Great video nonetheless, I am worried that even more content is being faked.

At 6:04, he shows the f3 screen which reveals that it is day 28. Even if he slept every single night he would've played for at least 28x10=280 minutes=4hr40 minutes which is way longer than the timer shows, proving that the timer is fake.
This video is hilariously fake. You should be disappointed in yourself for stepping on a small speedrunning community like the all advancements community to profit from, as it undermines the countless hours spent to complete a run like this.
For starters there are 80 advancements in 1.16 not 81, just goes to show the actual amount of effort put into this video

Oh, wow, congratulations on cheating in a Minecraft speedrun! I'm sure it was really difficult to take shortcuts and exploit the game to make yourself look like you're good at something. I mean, who cares if you didn't actually put in the time and effort to learn the game mechanics and get good at the speedrun category like the current world record holder, Elysaku? It's not like other people are working their butts off to achieve something impressive in this long and difficult category, right?
No, no, it's much better to just cheat and take the easy way out. I mean, why bother learning the ins and outs of the game when you can just use hacks and glitches to make it look like you're good? I'm sure everyone will be super impressed when they find out you cheated your way to victory.
But seriously, cheating in a Minecraft speedrun is not okay. It's disrespectful to the other people who have put in countless hours of practice and hard work to achieve their goals. And it's just plain dishonest. If you want to be proud of your accomplishments and have other people respect you for them, you need to actually earn them. So put down the hacks and get to work learning the game like everyone else.

They don’t land until they’re loaded, and when they were, he took reduced damage to his gapple hearts due to resistance.
At 6:06 the day counter says Day 28, meaning he must have spent a minimum of 4 hours 40 minutes in the world, even though his timer says 3 hours 34 minutes. Plus this is a set seed, the category is random seed.
