First motorcycle was a 70's Yamaha 80 I bought with grass cutting money when I was 12 or 13 (well money saved from working and a little fishing gear horse trading) - I rode that thing for 3 years in places I shouldn't have (across suburban back yards and green space parks in my neighborhood) to get back and forth to work at Burger King when I was 15. That little dirt bike ran great even in the winter with a foot of snow on the ground pulling my buddies on sleds. When I turned 16 and got my first car I sold that Yamaha back to the kid I bought it from for $150 but threw in the parts I'd bought to do the tune up it was due for. I really do believe every first time rider should start on "dirt" and before they hit puberty but after they can read directions to fix things when it breaks.

I bought my first real (not scooter) bike 2 years ago a honda ft500 ascot. The thing was turd with many issues but ran well enough for me to find out i like riding off road more than anything. So I bought an xr350r but it needs love and I want to ride so I also got a klx300r it runs great and I've gone out on it every weekend and as many work nights I can. I love this hobby.

When I was 15 I saved up my Canadian loonies and toonies and bought myself a TW 200. It was my first motorcycle I loved it to death literally. I rode it from Toronto to Tobermory to Quebec. it broke down I would have to walk 5 km sometimes to the closest gas station. I’ve even rolled into the Harley dealerships and the kind people agree to fix my dumb ass bike, and they would never believe how far it got me. with one very small cylinder it was amazing and even when it was time for me to sell it I struggled because it was my first bike and I had so much fun with it.
PS:I love the videos keep up you’re great work

I love this because it shows how beloved used motors may have been in a previous life. Van once more expressing a nostalgia the rest of us can't quite find the words for. Also it is just freshly different from the rest of CZcams's intro motorcycle stock.

Honestly, I just bought one last year, and I love it. And it’s hardly my first bike.
My first bike was a 1968 Honda z50 hard tail. And yea, in the next almost 50 years, I’ve had a few bikes in between....

The first bike I had was a 125cc dirt/street bike. From there I went to a 500cc Kawasaki street bike, then when they first came out jumped to the Honda V45 Magna, and a V45 Interceptor...which I sold because I was going over 100 mph and didn't even think it I was. So I went back to the Magna. I have to say I enjoy shaft driven, water-cooled bikes better than chain or belt driven ones. My hair dresser used to go to Sturgis and Murtle Beach on his Harley, right out of the Military, then it got stolen...he then was coaxed into a Honda dealership with a nudge from myself, and he came away with an Aspencade and said his kidneys made him do it. Whatever one chooses...it should be reliable and not something one is constantly tinkering with like an Alfa Romeo or Triumph car. When used as a daily driven mode of transportation, it should never be the source of pushing or stranding, when we are interconnected as we are in the modern idiom, it's important that we don't let the other team members down, with constant calls of "my vehicle broke down."

Some manufacturers have tire sizes that are available but limited to a few brand name replacements, like “Bridgestone Trail Wing”. I think I would rather have Dunlop’s
