After using the Uberleben Flat Pack Stove for almost a year, I share my thoughts...
I will say, twig stoves are pretty amazing. You can find fuel most anywhere you go, they pack flat, and are largely pretty efficient, melting snow or cooking meals in pretty short order.
While this Flat Pack Stove by Uberleben is made of Stainless Steel, if you want to pay the premium and save weight, they are also offered in Titanium.

I know this is an old video, but....I just bought one of these from the modern homesteading conference here in Idaho. For under $100.00 I got the stove, the Kraftig ferro rod, theTindar wick, the large kuska bowl/cup and the Kanu spoon...can't wait to try them out! Thanks for the video!

I *almost* bought this stove, it was my first choice on my Amazon wishlist for a long time. Instead I went with a stainless steel gasification twig stove. It doesn't pack down as small (it's round), but man does it burn hot and well. The first day that I got it it was actually the beginning of winter up here and it was wet and rainy. I said heck with it and went out to try it anyhow. It took me several minutes to get a spark to take, but when I got my birds nest lit it kept a fire going even with wet twigs! I boiled up snow for tea and spent about an hour with it that first day just testing. These little stoves are a great alternative to isobutane stoves and just flat out campfires. You're right though, they require pretty much constant care. I could leave it for no more than a few minutes, even with wet wood, because it burned so fast! Thanks for the review!

Thanks for a quick and efficient review so I can be more than prepared to use this backpacking. I’m almost certain you’re former military, like me, so cheers. I’m in north Idaho too (I read the comments) so maybe I’ll bump into you up there. You’re always welcome in my camp. God bless.

I have a Solostove that doesn’t pack down small and a Firebox G2 that weighs a ton. I think this one might fit the bill 👌🏼 Excellent review brother

Excellent review of a solid piece of kit. Plus, it is extremely refreshing to watch a gear review that is professionally presented, detailed, informative, and best of all rational!

Just got mine. What size of sticks do you find best for cooking on? i.e. for a slower cooler fire. Do you use the 'swedish torch' arrangement? Have you tried blocking some of the air holes to damp it down? Thx for any tips (tho sure I'll be experimenting on my own)

Those are nice stoves. I've even used my indoors when the power was off with a small alcohol stove put down inside it. It can be a little risky but I was in my basement. Sterno would be safer to put down inside it.

hay man thanks for the rad video. I'm a student, so I sadly can't contribute via money to this endever. But since I'm german I at least can tell you that "Überleben" the german word for "survive" is and that the first letter isn"t contained within the english alphabet, but whenever it can't be found we use "ue" instead. I hope that this little info brought anything new to the table. Ivan keep on rocking. Pls more adventure vlogs, thats a really neat format. greetings from Germany

Work great in the midwest for trips where there's plenty to burn. Also may of used one to heat an 02 Cadillac STS with no heat through a polar vortex and negative teen temperatures. I mean, it worked.

Thanks for the great video, I did hit the subscribe button! You mentioned that you warped the pot support pieces, you might try replacing them with a pair of 20 penny landscaping nails. I added those to my kit to use with a Vargo Hexagon Stove and have found them to sturdily support any reasonable pot or pan. You may find additional impromptu uses for the nails as well! Stay safe and well, Karl
