    I like this video a lot. I'm not in school but I have a cruiser board to get around town and portability and a longboard for long rides and fun. I like the dingy, landyachtz makes great boards, but for me it's too small. I am a larger guy around 220 pounds with bigger feet. I was riding the globe blazer xl for a while. For me a 34" cruiser with 60mm wheels is the right size for commuting

    • @OgdenSikel
      @OgdenSikel  Před 3 lety +6

      Makes perfect sense! I have relatively small feet so I’m not bothered but I can defo see this problem for others. For landyachtz boards, the tugboat or drop cat 33 may be better for those that desire larger cruising orientated rides

    To the point, nice video. I'd note (for other viewers, likely looking @ the dinghy) that the turbo king is stiffer (FG layers) and has deeper wheel wells to help w/ the plow kings. 2021 gave us the Dinghy Fender which has the wheel wells for plow kings, but not the extra fiberglass stiffness. -- also, some ppl w/ big feet may not LOVE the wheel wells on the turbo/fender.

    i use my dinghy to get to work, and my dance board to go around campus for a few simple reasons:
    1. there's a fairly large skate club at my school, and yk i gota rep my fellow dance/freestylers
    2. the dinghy is much smaller, taking up less space at work
    3. the dance board is just more comfortable for a daily commuter
    4. my entire campus is on a pretty noticeable hill with several roads between buildings, and i have no interest in getting ran over because my dinghy sent me flying down the road at 20 mph
