What a beautiful bike, I've got a Trek hybrid that I've cycled up mega hills & that weighs over 14kg, I've also got a Specialized Diverge Elite E5, that weighs around the same as this bike & I absolutely fly up the hills, with the motor assistance you should be gliding up the ascents. Also most of the effort on a bike is getting up to your cruising speed, so being assisted up to 16mph, I would be fresh to go above & hold it.

I've been looking at a Scott Addict eride 20, but can't afford to get it until September. I want it mainly for CTC group rider's, had arthritis in my right knee for about 15 years, and slowly getting worse, i now struggle on hill's. And feel bad the group waits for me to catch up or one of the ride leaders stays behind to help me. For general rides i will keep my gravel and road bikes, because if cycling on my own I'm happy to get off and walk if i find a hill too hard now,

It’s just a shame the uk govt won’t raise the limit . These could be the future of commuting to work and being able to ditch the car . If you fitness just isn’t there or your sick /injured.. I think 20mph would take ebikes from being good to not being able to live without one . Especially road bikes

You can do a remap on this taking it up to 19mph…TBH I don’t need to its just my winter bike just to keep my legs moving over the cold periods and not damaging my aero summer bike 🚴

How can you Compare it to any other E bike’s Road . I’m borrowing my pals Vado sl but I’m pretty sure the minute the motor cuts off it drags . I only want one because I’m due a heart valve replacement. Was Gona get a gain . But thes have more torque. And I’m bigger built guy 95kgs so thinking it will struggle.

Riders comments are always the best, thanks. However, bikes reviewers comments on riding ebikes above the cut off speed are somewhat contradictory. I've watched them all and most say that once you have picked up good speed it's no more work keeping that than on an analogue bike. Your take on this seems to be the opposite? I need to commute at a higher average speed than 16 mph, that's why this is interesting to me.
