First off, thank you for making and posting the video. I know it is now 7 years old, but I just found it. I just completed my first model ever (Revell Saturn V) and couldn’t believe Billy’s unbelievably amazing collection as I watched this. He must have been an incredible person. Thank you again for sharing this.

As a former Hobby Shop owner (Inside & Out Hobbies, LLC est 2005 - ended 2014, I loved it when customers would bring in a finished model of something from the space program. I would put them on display and hold a semi annual model show so they could win prized.....Now all I do is sit back and sell what I have left on E bay.....
Shame.... The good ole days have ended :( I really loved my card shop and hobby shop in town... Now they are the most boring places because people want the dumbest stuff nowadays.... Damnit, it's so sad! What's wrong with the world...

I loved his model collection which must be worth a small fortune. Does he ever exhibit the models to the public? He has dedicated a large portion of his home to this wonderful hobby. Thanks for posting this video.

Fine collection. It's comforting to see there are those who still have a passion for engineering and space exploration. I hope and pray that our youth will find that same passion. If only we can convince the current POTUS and Congress to give NASA/JPL the funding they need to continue skyward.
The hero's of my youth are fading away. Will we ever see a re-awakening of the desire to explore and learn.

Thanks! Very few people get to see this amazing collection. I was able to get this on video because Billy is related to my wife.
There is so much history there it is impossible to take it all in at one time.

Wow, simply incredible! The world's #1 aeronautic space junkie; i wish Billy was my neighbor, he'd be tired of me pickin' his brain.
I used to really enjoy listening to his explanations of the space programs. Unfortunately Billy has passed on to that great NASA command center in the sky. God rest his soul. His wife still has the rocket collection as far as I know.
***** So sad. I had a friend who had an extensive nascar collection and when he passed, his family just gave his collection to children. I sure hope his family will take pride in the collection as he did. RIP Billy

Would literally kill for even half the Soviet/Russian models he has. (1:00) Mostly the R-7/Sputnik/Vostok/Soyuz Rockets.
Models of Soviet or Russian rockets are so hard to find.

He did build some of the models himself. I don't know which ones and now that he is gone we will probably never know.

The Nazis put the first man made object in space, a V-2 rocket. Werner Von Braun was also instrumental in the design of the Saturn V moon rocket. Just because truth may not sit well, it doesn't stop it being true.
im guessing it was for historical purposes. the nazi had a space program to ignore it would be a mistake for someone being historically accurate
