I love Nistor, but the criticisms were definitely justified in my opinion.. they weren't criticizing her as a gymnast, but rather the strange judges who gave her really high scores when she had lots of mistakes in some of her routines.
The judges were seriously dropping Acid or something whenever Steliana Nistor was up. Seriously, wtf.

@gymnast4ever it's because of her high start values. If you have a high start value, you can still get a high score because the deductions are coming from execution. someone said she had a 7 start value, she had over 1.5 points knocked off for execution.
I'm probably the only one who thinks Nistor's score is fair. Her start value was a 7.0, and she scored a 15.225. Her execution was 8.225. Very fair.
My favorite is when Tasha says, "He-ooge" (huge).
These commentators are sooooo much better than the chumps on NBC

i totally agree, and she doenst have the difficulty to back it up.
How dare they mock the announcement about respecting the gymnasts and not use "flashlight" when they can hardly pronounce any competitors name correctly unless they happen to have an english name. What was the word...ah yeah respect.
Shape up! Just cos you have english as a first language doesn't mean you should mock others who don't. At least they have made the effort to learn a foreign language.
Haha, seems that both Vanessas, Atler and Ferrari, have trouble with Comanecis. With all due respect to both of them, of course. :)
I really want to see what will happen once Alexander Alexandrov gets to Jade Barbosa if it is true he is going to coach in Brazil and is going to be the national coach or something.

They copyrighted those parts and took them down. I don't know why this one was kept up while others were not. Or why they even cared if footage from 2007 is up on CZcams. Go figure.
@@nanquan491 Could it be due to any of the background music being copyrighted? Maybe if you could mute the sound for certain parts of those videos (floor routines or any background music played during warm-up periods) and reupload them, CZcams wouldn't take issue. That's usually the culprit.
NO. The commentators are not cheerleaders. They are there to point out what the judges see and why they might deduct. If you want someone to focus on the positive, hang out with the rabid fans and the family members, but that is not the function of the commentators.
I agree with the commentators; horrible judges, the Chinese girl got an 8. something on execution and so did Nistor who had horrible form compared to nicely done by Chinese with a few minor errors. It seemed biased to me also on her vault score. :/
it is so obvious who they like and who they don't. they should be more impartial. that's what i think, anyway. and it is normal to cheer for your country, but being fair to the others too.
No, Tasha. Nastia is nothing like Svetlana Khorkina. Sveta is in a league of her own.
Nobody was mocking anyone. Grow a thicker skin. Gymnastics fans are so defensive, it was gentle humor.
