The perfect shooter thing does seem really nice, yes. Same goes for the puddle electrocution thing, since no one wants to painstakingly set up an electric puddle trap, only for it to not actually work.
I think the prestige thing might be nice. After you get everything in Freelancer, the game gets too easy and kind of repetitive because you can just bring exactly what you need to every mission. Resetting back to the base loadout now and them might be fun because it forces you to use whatever you have, which was one of the draws of Freelancer IMO.

I'm convinced at this point they just like to hear themselves talk.
A shiny Indicator for Earing, Necklace, Tattoo when turn your Hitman Ability (Wallhack) on, would be a better thing than not needed UI changes.
Prestige System for easier get to level 100 is for me a good thing.
Perfect Shooter Change is nice.

Bruiser suit, Perfect Shooter tweaks and using any suit you want in certain starting points is what I look forward too. Prestige stuff might be interesting.
They need to fix the camera in Freelancer where the clues highlight while hovering over the suspect. It would also help see the targets hidden features or have the features on the npc glow outline while using the camera. Something to make it more noticeable.

I just hope they will fix bugs in showdowns. Sometimes just after loading into map, one of the suspects just die, leader goes into panic and immedietly run to exit. Or in last showdown, theres so many suspects that sometimes they spawn 2 or 3 of them in same place, and they just stand there

The HUD toggles might be for the "cinematic" players who make videos with everything turned off. Never tried but maybe the Freelancer stuff was still visible. Otherwise I guess it's nice to be able to customize which HUD elements are visible, personally won't use it but more options is a good thing.
I'm curious on what the full patch notes will be like since they mentioned that there's over 80 changes in this update. Wonder if there's some big ones they're keeping secret for now. Would be nice for poison drinks to work properly again (unless I missed an update that fixed that bug? Been a few months since I last played)
I'm personally really excited about the Removed Disguise Restrictions for the 3 levels in the main mode as I love using different outfits for Suit Only runs or "having fun" runs where I do random shit in the Clown or Santa outfits. This change is long overdue, Patient Zero should've gotten in Hitman 2 and the Hitman 3 levels should've gotten it before release. It made sense for the story-related starting locations but there should've always been at least one starting location where you could pick any outfit.
It wasn't a big deal but it was a weird limitation that slightly hurt the replayability of the levels.
I’m definitely turning off the “alerted territory” alert. I _know_ it’s alerted, game! Don’t need you reminding me every 10 seconds and giving me a heart attack because it looks and sounds just like the “assassin/lookout nearby” alert! 😂

They should really improve the hitboxes. I often find myself shooting someone straight in the end and it just ends up being a hitmarker or it misses completely. Also idk if it‘s just me but on Chongqing, it seems as if npcs can look through a lot of walls entirely and spot corpses behind them.
True, they need to fix NPC x-ray vision.

Great to see Perfect Shooter being tweaked. I just finished my 71st campaign so I'd rather take a break till next Thursday and see everything in action. Really excited for this.
For SA related objectives, lets hope they give us around 4500 to 5k merces. :)

I just want to be able to pick up the fuse cell in 47's garage. A glitch prevents me from interacting with it in any way.

Contract mode for Yacht is really exciting, but the problem as you said is that there is no way to bring any items with you. This could be a simple fix, making the default spawnpoint in BOTH freeform and final test available, and then you could do some cool runs on those maps, e.g. Sniper assassin, poisons etc.
Finally I’ve been waiting for them to fix all the bugs especially during showdowns

I have the impression that since the last patch and Freelancer Update my game often crashes on ps4 error ce 34878, I've tried everything.

It's a good idea, prestige I mean. I don't sit around and grind Freelancer, but I'm in the mid 50s and like to play it from time to time. Prestige just means it will stay alive as my "sometimes game" for a long time to come. (until Hitman 4 anyway).
Omg, I thought the neon outfit light bloom was just some setting I needed to adjust. I love the look of that outfit too so I will be wearing it more!

Agree with you. Feels like it might be a bit like when playing through Freelancer the first time, getting all the weapons again. It gives me a reason to start playing again and try to reach TopDog. But let's see if it's enough for me to be able to play it all the way through to TopDog.

I like the fact the amount of XP goes up your prestige, I'm at level 59. It's been a wicked bad grind, I have little to no desire to play . Was hopefully they would add some of the alternative maps from the side stories to Freelancer
If you think it's bad at 59, wait 'till you hit 90. A single perfect mission barely nudges the XP bar.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. It became such a boring grind, and I'm level 60. I stopped playing a couple of months ago because there's nothing new or interesting.
the perfect shooter, and the SA reward bump looks really good.
especially for earlier campaigns where the targets are much more easier to get SA will get you a huge boon to your payout to buy better stuff quicker, instead of relying on good loads on the map.
Have u guys seen the emetic gas device trick doesn’t work anymore. When you pick it up your detonator dissapears 😢
I definitely found it was the HUD of the camera that disrupted the image for me.
I think they should let you use instinct while viewing the photo and the Necklace, Earrings etc should be highlighted 👍
I definitely like the perfect shooter and fixing the puddles is a must.. On the New York map I put 2 victims in a puddle for a collateral kill accident.. I dropped my micro taser hit the button nothing.. no one was electrocuted.. I threw a car battery after the taser didn’t work.. nothing still no one was electrocuted.. so like an idiot I walked to the puddle I was electrocuted. Even when I died they weren’t electrocuted. So I welcome this fix

I did that just fine by dying/failing a campaign. How about a more casual mode where you can enjoy freelancer without losing all your stuff when you die? I don't need all my games to be as hard as Dark Souls.

I hope they fix guards magically knowing 47s position after a long range shot and running across the entire map right at you. Maybe it's a feature, but it feels like it's just broken to me.
I hope one of the bug fixes is throwing a hammer counts as a firearm for SA-No Firearms. Yes, that actually happened to me, and it cost me a Hardcore campaign completion.
The item unlock identification, was that not already a thing? I always see the new weapon identification blip when a new weapon appears 🤔
Dear MrFreeze! I was very fond of the idea to improve the camera on subject-identification aka "spy cam" to help you say by highlighting the looks and maybe the tells you actually spy at this moment you spy on the suspect - because some map areas (Haven next to that beach toilet where the already unlocked boat exit is; or Dartmoor when you get down that large stairway from Alexa Carliles Office Floor) can be REALLY dark you can't see shit - hell that "spy cam" doesnt even have a flashlight to make a picture with actual light ... but yeah this prestige thing i mean loosing all mercs so far earned, loosing all guns and melee items you already stashed... WTF is that i can "live" by say loosing all guns and melee items on my walls but i have over 4 million mercs right now (i had 8 million but stupid me on alerted hokkaido waking up in that morgue... that shootout that body counts! didn't ended well) i will do it YES because i am a 100% achievment hunter let's see how many campaigns i have to finish to get that walls back up...
I love Freelancer but I'm at a point where I've finished 2 campaigns and have all the weapons unlocked as well as all the freelancer tools. I can't buy anything from vendors anymore and getting the safes and couriers is now more of a personal challenge rather than a requirement. It's still fun as I try to challenge myself to try new side objectives, but these refreshes and tweaks will definitely be welcome.
Thankfully the "Perfect Shooter" was only 500 Merces which is often outweighed by the prestige objective's worth, but still good that they've included cameras and security recorders.
Also *THANK YOU* for the water fixes. How annoying was it, to get a collateral accident electrocutions to fail in certain situations because the NPCs weren't drenched somehow? I can't wait to try this out.
As for the suits... I wish we could get access to all map-specific suits. I'd love to be able to have 47 in a short sleeved shirt and bermudas in Haven Island, for example.

The wall of guns is cool just wish I could see all the other crap I have in the main game that never get used

I totally agree about the hardcore mode. I thought it would at least give you more money or something, but it was just a time sink.
I only started with the Hitman Trilogy in June last year and played it continuously. I got to lvl 100 end April. There's quite a few Leader challenges to do but I dont see any reason so far to continue playing. If they got rid of alerted territories I might come back. Playing other games on Xbox Game Pass.
I hope that they've sorted the issue of the arrange a meeting prestige objective hardly working as it's one thing in freelancer that definitely needs fixing.

I finally finished hardcore mode, not tryna do that again smh. That pistol 47 is holding with the black bruiser suit would be nice to have
All I want is an option for a little deadzone on my console controller. My stick is sticking just a little at some direction and 47's just walking around corners, making stealth harder.
I'm at mastery level 93, started hardcore mode for the trophies. Made it to the 2nd mission of the final campaign and failed a mission by 1 second for the timed get disguises. I forced quit but not in time. Lost all of my mercers. I'm done with Freelancer. I don't know what io hoped to achieve by making something so frustrating.
If we prestige on freelancer they should give us more furniture to play with like have another set of 100 items to do up more of your safe house would be nice
I like the sound of prestige tbh. For me, a big thing that made me start getting bored of Freelancer (other than playing too much of it) was that I have almost every safehouse weapon. An option to reset that while getting more exp sounds great to me. Especially since I'm still fairly far off from 100

Yeah, if I remember you need 150k XP per level after reaching lvl 90.
Yes, 37.5% of your entire amount of XP to get to level 100 is in those final 10 levels.
@@MrFreeze2244 that hurts my soul. I'll probably jump on when the patch drops and see how it goes. Hardcore was rough but at least it felt like you were actually doing something. This is just a grind.
Really interesting update. I am really struggling with Freelancer as I am colour blind and I'm finding this to be a massive issue for me. To the point where I've practically given up playing it. In fact I've crawled up to level 15, never finished a single campaign - normally I'm failing at the showdown level. Mostly cos these details are just tripping me up time and again.
This is exactly what I was talking about. It needs more work to help those with visual impairments.

Sorry to hear that. I've switched to relying on the burner phones to rule out and lure suspects. There are three types of burner but even the wrong type is helpful to rule out suspects.
The audio cues that Freeze mentioned a while ago have been my go to as identifying earrings or pendants is quite hard in certain situations.
@@RicardoOrtizReyes that audio cue was a god send! Spending 30+ mins sometimes triple checking to make sure I had the right one lol

@@MrFreeze2244 Found a workaround, but only for PC players, ending the task thru task manager, or pressing alt-f4 again doing the loading after the 1st alt-f4 cancels the forced fail. No idea if you can pull that off for consoles.
Oh and a bit off topic, they changed the gear weight of grapevines to 1, where it used to be 0.

Would’ve liked some spy camera improvements. I feel it’s a little annoying when trying to unmark/mark suspects. It’s ok, but personally a little clunky
Wonder if they will fix that compromised bug in freelancer? -One mpc see you do something illegal, and about 1.2 seconds later 9 mpcs on the other side of the map turns orange. And after that it just spreads like wildfire.
are they gonna fix the objectives that screw you over like having at the same time:
Just kill the target
kill 3 guards with a shotgun
or only having 1 target on the map, and the objectives be:
kill with accident
kill with a precision shot
its just bs
Having issues unlocking prestige in my freelancer. I've completed many campaigns and got all the weapons, master level 65 and I'm wondering maybe I need to fill the tools as well? Lost some when I lost the campaign. Anyone know??
I'm assuming the "full wall of weapons" requirement for Prestige level upgrade *doesn't* include the "Ornamental/Ancestral" weapons (that you only get by reaching certain mastery levels that don't reset) and the optional "Street Art/Makeshift" DLC weapons.

The DLC items are just bloat in my opinion. You can still buy them back but they're crap and they're often in place of items you actually wanna buy from a merchant.
They need to fix the bubble gum poison as well. It rockets targets into the sky 9/10 times 😅

DLC weapons are not a necessity for prestige leveling.
When you get two prestige objectives, one is silenced pistol kill and one is unsilenced pistol kill and they're both worth the same. What's the point? Surely unsilenced should be worth more because it's riskier. They need to change that too I think.
Also, it's always bugged me that you can't hide the bodies of unconscious suspects in a showdown. If they're not the target, there should be some way to put them in a crate.
i play this game for years and have never used a different explosive than baseball, duck and napoleon
I'm excited for the VRAM leak fix coming for the PC portion of the update. Cuz that bug fucking sucks. Game just randomly drops down to like 15 fps and won't be fixed until you restart the game lol.
The neon ninja fix is about time. And the perfect shooter fix as well.
Overall I don't see much QOL as well. They should finally fix that blooming light glitch, I hear many people about it. And there default solution of repair/reinstall the game is becoming sickening. It doesn't fix the issue as well.
I hope they finally fixed some spots in the safe house, where I can't seem to change the asset. I already mentioned this to them a while back. So hopefully that is fixed now.

Prestige levels better be worth the rewards. 🤔 Because from level 90 onwards, it takes a significant increase of a grind than level 1-80.
I'd have preferred they work on conflicting objectives and to ensure all presented options can always be done.
Other than that, boosting silent assassin rewards means (if done to the other extreme) that the explosives and most of the equipment become suboptimal, which was in my opinion a problem in the main missions.
The main difference is that main missions, ETs, FCs, and Escalations have a guaranteed SA path and are about routing and strategy. There's no guaranteed SA path in Freelancer. Even if explosives are suboptimal, you might not have a choice. I think making SA rewards better is the right way to do it. Let's be honest; most collateral damage in Freelancer is due to laziness, not because you had no other choice. You didn't have to shoot those guards. You just couldn't be fucked distracting them and hiding their bodies. If a slightly better reward makes you go the extra mile once in a while, that's a good balance and makes sense.
@@TurtleWhiskey True, though I'm still worried IOI goes full ham on SA and makes the game focus on a fraction of your tools as everything else will ruin it.
At least I basically never used most of the stuff in main missions as they'd detract from SA, making them all pointless and cumbersome... including f.ex. sniper rifles... :/
Of course, I might be a bit biased as my core opinion has shifted over recent years to that IOI's core expertise is in creating frustration, and not fun. :)
this update better include bug fixes to some of the maps
I just wanna say this. If you ever get yourself in a combat situation and you have all these rare weapons. All you have to do is back out of the game and close application. After that hop on the game and all your item should be back in your inventory. Same goes for final showdown. But for showdown, to find the target; what I do is kill every last target til I find them. And once I find them just close the game and hop on. Once youre in the mission it should be the same npc.
as someone late to the game who playsmore casually i hope they dont patch out speed-quitting to save ur run :P
I have a couple mantras when playing Freelancer: “Don’t shoot the camera, don’t shoot the camera, don’t shoot the caaaamera” and “don’t knock anyone out, don’t knock anyone out, don’t throw the crowbar…”

The prestige thing could get me interested enough to come back to Freelancer someday. I got bored having all the weapons and gear so I intentionally lost everything around level 80-something just to make things interesting again.
I really hope they fix the explosive radius though and just didn't mention it. 'Collateral kill - explosives' feels impossible without just knocking the targets out and stacking everything very close together. Which is annoying. The final straw for me was when I threw cemtex into the middle of that little room full of guards in Hokkaido and NONE of them died.
Wow. Must be nice. I can't build up even a small collection to save my life. I still haven't been able to finish 1 complete campaign.
@@DSP0511 those first couple campaigns can be quite difficult without proper gear. Plus it takes time to get used to the game differences. I struggled in the beginning too
@@DSP0511 as long as they’re not hardcore you can just ignore objectives. Assassination objects are probably the easiest as they are based mostly on silenced guns and SA which may be time consuming but basically guarantees mercer’s if your persistent.
Do they mean by they are going to add a laptop in the basement like the hardcore mode on freelancer or are they doing it permanently without a laptop because that I would suck I just got the silver baller and I’m afraid I’m not going to get it again until I reach mastery level 75 and I’m only on level 47.

I think I"m confused why anyone would keep playing after they have everything unlocked...what else is there to do? Besides easily complete missions with perfect load-outs. Feels like a partial refresh is exactly what you'd want after all that work.
That being said I agree 100% that the lack of accessibility for the SAKE of being obscure (are they wearing earrings) is just senseless. Pretending the HUD is the issue...
I think a simple fix would be better zoom and pause optional while using the camera.

Why not add a casual freelancer mode that isn't as risky?
They did not mention Melee objective for contract... why the heck breaking neck using your fist and garotting people not count as MELEE is just beyond me... and for the record, you get melee kill bonus for that so that was suck...
They need to patch fix targets and NPCs throwing up in waste bins
kinda salty that they didn't add car battery spawns for 1st game levels as any electrocution obj requires you to bring your own tool into missions like paris,hokkaido etc.

I just want to play freelancer with harcore rules(alerted maps, extra guards and cameras, ruined disguise) but with no mandatory presige objective. Just make it optional! And there is nothig like that in patchnotes. This will make me return to playing, not even more grind for grind for prestige levels

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP--- I had hitman 3 with all of the paid for dlc’s. Last week I put the disc back in and it updated to HITMAN WORLD OF ASSASSINATION. All of my paid for dlc’s are now locked, and the only way to unlock them would be to pay £25!!!!! Wtf??
Assuming you’re on Xbox, because Microsoft had some issue yesterday with their account servers that made HITMAN unable to verify that we owned the game. It was an issue on Microsoft’s end, but it’s fixed now; I just checked on my Xbox. (And a similar thing has happened before, around when H3 released. Annoying.)
Anyway, you’re fine and no, you don’t have to repurchase anything.

Well that was an unexpected hope that was immediately turned into disappointment. I was hoping they were going to make dart guns not count as firearms when you miss with them or not let NPCs spot you through walls 😂
ALSO why on earth do they call it “DROWNING KILL” when what they reall mean is “Toilet kill”?! If you toss a body into a river it has a timer! So it knows the body is in water but they are going the extra mile to not count it for some reason! Drowning is drowning what else is the target going to do when disposed of in water?!
Prestige would get me excited for the increase payout if only there were more things to buy :/ reset your weapon collection only to make more money so you can have it back faster is a bit of a boring loop imo. Wish we could buy way more things other than guns and tools. It only works as a show off thing and that was okay back in 2010 when I used to play the shit out of cod but i dont care about that anymore, I dont even play online nor have any gamer friends xD
