Hahahaha
You do know, that blocks exist, right?
Cavaletes embaixo do carro
Gostei do projeto meus parabéns
@joseantoniosantos8358 this guy knows what's up. Blocks are going to prevent any deaths or injury.
Very good ; and you can make it double function , use it as "crane" if you need .
GOOD ONE .
From a cautionary standpoint you had really better know exactly where the lifting points on your vehicle are. Especially if it's not a body on frame rail assembly. Breaking a unicar (frameless) undercarriage will get really expensive when the body shop sees what you did... your insurance adjustor might total it if it's too distorted and the cost of repair exceeds the value of the car. Otherwise, it's a great way to lift using the Archimedes principle of "Give me a lever long enough and I can lift the world " ... this idea would be just the thing for lifting a lawn tractor for a quick blade change.
Bold assumption about them having an insurance.
nonsense - just fit some pads that slide on the rail that can meet with the jacking points on the sills.
Imagine if they designed cars that can break their chassis under their own weight..... oh wait, they don't.
what a bunch of bs
i've seen plenty of people shake their heads at "lifting points". they always learn the hard way.
that car's rocker panels/pinch weld are gonna get mauled by the edge and the insurance company will happily use cosmetic damage as an excuse to total it.
a solution i can think of would be to use a tubular section and a rotating foot to distribute the weight across a larger area than the point, so that it can be lifted without issue
Maybe metal rollers or rubber on chassis contact area ? Good idea though ,one handed operation 👏
Pretty neat as long as that steel beam under the vehicle doesnt catch on something under the car and break it. Also, you could make rounded corners instead of sharp 90°s where the steel hinges against the concrete, and cover the rounded corners with old tire treads or something to give it grip and not scratch the concrete. I would weld gussets in the corners also for strength. Cool video
You are a good fabricator
Motorcycle racers use the same type lifts that actually have small wheels mounted in the angle to protect the concrete and provide a better leveraged lift. The design is already perfected and works better than your suggestion here.
You can use two of these devices to easily lift the complete motorcycle off of the ground while keeping it stabilized. It would be the same for this car using a similar engineered lift.
Look it up, it works great- I have two.
A solo ten year old kid can lift a 600 lb motorcycle with ease.
@@JoeGator23 Pretty neat. I havent seen those. Wheels are a great idea.
@@zacksrandomprojects9698 Yes. Wheels needed as things could get dicey with the parking/e-brake set on the vehicle
@@JoeGator23 Sharp edges are a safety feature in this case… think about
Some rollers on bottom would be nice .
Then it will not stop at different positions just like they demonstrate.
@@jees9984But will demaging the paint 😢😢😢
DEAR subscribers , this video was made for fun because we weldet this carjack from scrap , so now we are happy to see we have a big fanclub all over the world
Definitely a fun video 👏
The best so far.And its been some inquiry .Congratulations.I presume some kind of reduction gear on hidden side.
legend has it, the lift doubles as a roof rack when the car is on the move.
Brilliant.............especially love the way the assembly perfectly blocks access to the wheels and sides of the engine bay..........
you would just stand on the piece of metal to get to the side of the engine bay
@@spongebobsquarepants3770 Or just turn the lift around and lean toward the rear of the car.
or.. He could OPEN HIS GARAGE DOOR AND DROP IT FLAT and have total access.. Think it through before you type. Would work fine outside of the garage, don't you think...????
And damages the bottom of the car. And could fail and cause injury. Genius contraption!
And it stows in the trunk in its own bag!
Lot like jacks for raising motorcycles I used to make. Quite a bit different for a whole car.
Thinking about the portability, the weight of it all, the positioning of it, the possibility of it breaking something - like your car body or even your head, I'm thinking a good hydraulic floor jack is way better.
Or a properly mounted rack. Probably cost a little more than the girder iron, welder, gas and welding supplies but at least (if installed properly) it would be a little safer.
Not safe and could damage a line the exhaust or worse the cat
Agreed re motorcycle. I made one out of some 2”x6” boards and a 4’ pipe. Works like a charm for oil changes on my Road King.
Link? I'm interested in what that looks like for a motorcycle.
😂 hilarious! Ya, I have to agree on that
Nice simple machine. despite the fact It's a little rough for a prototype it could be improved by using smooth tubing on the parts that make contact with other surfaces while using hydraulics to keep it in place allowing adjustment of lift height and angle of attack for heavier machinery.
The whole point of this is to be cheap, hydraulics are out of the question. But some rubber roller wheels on the bar that lifts the car might just work.
If hydraulics are out of the question, then what are we hearing in the video making it go up and down? They don't show it.
Is that just the metal damaging the bottom of the car?
@@Ducky69247 its the electric winch pulling the crane.
@@Ducky69247 you can see it in the corner on the floor next to the wall.
With a big enough lever you can move the world!
But but but.. where would you stand. and how would you get the lever in place 🤔 😕 😏 😳
@@galewinds7696 I'd use Venus as the pivot point 😃
I think at that magnitude, steel beams would have the consistency of protein filaments
@@friedchicken1 Not if they're 'big enough'
@@maxwellsilver3115 if they were big enough it would still have the consistency of play-doh
Leverage is king & so are you for making this lift.
Go on then "get underneath it" No I didn't think so!😂
I am sure that's how Egyptians build the pyramids
A little blue car? Unlikely, but hey, what do I know 🤷♂️
This is amazing!!!!!
Woow algo tan simple y tan efectivo felicitaciones desde Uruguay
Pretty sure that's how they changed tires in the pits of the old Le Mans races
Add some casters to it and some pad mounts to be able to use difference clearance spaces for exhaust and what not and you have a solid DIY lift. Nice work boys!
I'll stick with ramps
We have another interesting video for you this invention czcams.com/video/oNT2weIGrss/video.html
please subscribe it
You can roll freely and the open area is great for clearance..🤖
Lol. Pretty clever , would like to see it snap back after the work is done.
I have a motorcycle lift that works the exact same way. It is the best lift I've ever used.
for a motorcycle- this is fine; for a car- it's just plain STUPID not to mention, dangerous.
@@lynskyrd 😆😆
Did you say that with your mask on?
I've been wanting to make some sort of mechanical car lift, likely with chain and pulleys, because I can't afford hydraulics. The simplicity of this lift though has everything ive thought of beat lol
Have U made 1 yet
This works the same way a motrorbike paddock stand does but life is made easier with wheels mounted to the grounding points to stop any ground scrape
the ground scrape keeps it from slipping
One more thing to bash into and curse when you're on the creeper.
Love it! I have a similar idea. Just have to make it.
The mouse trap 😂
Great idea, but I'd put rollers on there personally
Oke semangat sukses mantap mampir
Add some wheels at the concrete and some rollers for the frame and a wench pully safety brake and there ya go. Nice work.
Nah I'll let u off 🤣
Lla sabéis donde no ir jajajajajaja
the law of the lever...nice
Pure genius..I love physics!
Pure stupidity ....gonna ruin his frame sills and possibly suspension components and exhaust.
Imagine fitting pads and discs with a massive beam in your way🤣 on a bright note you can fit an exhaust, fuel lines/ brakes pipes and new sills after tho! Oh it’s going to cost you sir🤣🤣
Dress the railing under the car with some tire material and it will be good. Nice job.
Just like the ones they use in F1 pit stops
Dude the idea is great! Now install 2 roll bearings where the car sits. So the metal doesnt scratch the car. Then it would be perfect. But also.. then put something under the tires. If the cable fails, the car crushes u. So double check and its ok.
Rollers for the pinch weld areas on the rockers and rollers on the pivot point to save the floor
How perfect!
Looks good block it up.
simple and easy
Genius this guy is
thank you !!
We use these at the gym to lift up the barbell on the deadlift platforms
Archimedes style lifting 👌
Yep, with a big enough lever can lift anything, I was thinking on the lines of leverage for getting decent amount of height for when I want to work under my car. You could have tubes within tubes with holes and metal pegs for more length for greater leverage and more height from the part that provides the lift.
Sounds like it’s running on hydraulics based based on the sound and movements
I know what I'm welding together this weekend
O miseravi é um gênio!

OLHA ISSO!
If you could make this then make a ratch type with a shock absorber return then maybe easier to work from one side at a time use axle stands always

I like it. Perhaps with rubber pads on big eyelets with a tube for under the car?
put a roller on that frame
Very good vídeo,congratulations
Just WOW 🤣
Need rollers...but good.
This is Elon Musk ! 😁
How are you changing the front wheels if necessary?? Limited amount of work space
Once the arm is laying on the floor, the wheels are well above it.
The best!

Perfect idea, but i do not trust going under the car, but as an idea it is amazing
Practical physics
This has HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS written all over it but in either German or Russian or some Eastern European language.
Basically a paddock stand with no wheels

That’s a catapult 😂😂
I hope you subscribed my channel 👌🤗
I like it!!
Used lift to raise it
Now that is using your brains.
Put wheels on the point that’s touching the ground when it’s about to lift it will allow it to slide down flat on the ground much safer
Dobře vy 👍🙂
So what is the remote control in his hand for?? and the pump/compressor up againt the wall.
Also doubles as a catapult for siege warefare
Good for old cars
Let me be the first to jump underneath there?!
That's your sills pinch welds destroyed lol
im making one asap. holyshit this is awsome
Brilliant starting point but gusset/triangulate the joints in your fame for safety, and add pads or a fabricate pinch seam catch cradle on a pivot to protect the unibody rails from distortion and you've got an amazing, simple, and reliable inexpensive car lift solution.
I wouldn't use the corner of a beam against either the pinch seams or the unibody rails.
Simple but brilliant. My 11 yo explained it’s one of the simple machines. The lever.
