The problem is we'll never know because the Ref blew the whistle and stopped play way too quickly.
Rudiger still rushed to Muller and I believe it was Mendy made an attempt to block De Ligt’s shot. The only one who stopped was Lunin, which we’ll never know whether Lunin would have saved or not. But that still doesn’t change that it was onside, and play should have continued.
