Colour of Fire - Live at Forestglade Festival Austria 2004

Colour of Fire were a rock band from York, UK. They were signed to Riverman Music, PIAS in Europe and King Records in Japan.They formed in 2002, taking their name from a Boards Of Canada song and had early UK-only single releases Decisions Decisions and Cut It both just sneaked into the UK top 100.
Their 2004 debut album, Pearl Necklace, was highly praised both in UK music press and online, and helped to expand the group’s international fanbase. Despite supporting acts such as Idlewild, Biffy Clyro, Silverchair and Placebo and playing festivals in Japan and Europe in 2003-2004, the quartet’s album did not perform as well as they had hoped for. Single releases following the album’s launch included download-only Italics, The Exile EP and A Pearl Necklace For Her Majesty.
Bass player Thom Craigen left the band to pursue other interests in early 2005, and was replaced by the band’s guitar technician, Mike Newsham. However, following a short European tour, Colour of Fire split after playing Download Festival in 2005.

Saw these guys in Leeds at the cockpit supporting some band I wasn't bothered about after hearing them. Awesome songs and awesome energy live. Still a fave in my listening roster

I was at there, I was 18. It blew me away and will forever be one of my all time favorite concert memories. Seeing this so many years later now (and in such good quality!) means so much to me, especially during a hard time I'm going through right now.
I own every single COF record (both vinyl and CD) and had always wished you'd have continued a little longer to make music. But that one album and the few singles/b-sides that you made, will forever have a very special place in my heart.

Wow - I've only just seen this comment now. Thank you so much for posting - it means a LOT. We had such a blast in the short time we played together and our fans made it extra special - looking back, spending time talking with people after the show was probably my favourite thing about being in COF. Glad you have physical items to remember those good times by!
