    Beautiful.
    First time viewer here.
Growing up, my mother always taught me and brothers to help my father cut and clean the yard.
    She would always tell us
"We might be poor, but we're not dirty."
    We would mow the lawn.
Rake the cut grass and leaves.
Wash the driveway with a broom and soap.
    Trim the plants.
Water the plants and grass .
At the same time, you showed your presence to deter burglaries.
She would explain that, "You've got to have pride where you live.

I'm reminded of the Scripture that reads:"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the City of our God, in the Mountain of His Holiness. Beautiful for situation, the Joy of the whole Earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the North, the City of the Great King"! Say what you will, but we have enough people talking the Devil up, and praising his evil, and doing sinful things. Why not have people that live for the LORD, and that'll praise him? If I sound preachy, with all due respect, I cannot and will not apologize!

Some people are trolls, but some people are actually trying to help him. If you're a homeowner doing this yourself, that's one thing. But if you are doing this as part of your business then you need to invest in quality equipment and products. I get it, he's a lawn guy not a pressure washer. But if he invested in quality equipment and materials he would see much more improvement and results. Not only that, but he wouldn't have to work as hard. I don't know what he charged for this job, but the results weren't worth it. I would not be happy if I was his customer. Hopefully he learns from others and can add this as one of his successes.

He is wasting money on Zep when there are better products out there he should be using. Guaranteed that the mold and alge will return within months. You can bury your head in the sand and think he did a good job or you can realize that his job was sub par and he can improve. Hopefully he will take this as motivation to go get proper training in pressure washing. There is far more to it than just running down to Lowes and buying a pressure washer.

The only concern I would have is it being rinsed into the street gutter.
I wouldn’t be worried about it because I’m aware that it gets applied to the surface diluted and rinsing dilutes it even more but tree huggers will throw themselves like a schoolgirl over things like that.
Zep products are good I think.I’ve only used a few of them in the past but they do work really well.

I don't disagree with you at all! Sodium Hydroxide looks to be the main ingredient, which can cause burns on your skin, but like you said with the dilution of pressure washing then the dilution of rinsing plus the time to make it less effective as it works I have no idea what the effect would be down the line. Something to think about, at least, I suppose! :)

I sometimes do this for a living. Always start at the low end and finish high. Then you are not working through your mess that you are making. Then rinse off starting at the high end. When you use high pressure equipment you don' t need the detergent. Wear rubber boots so that you are not walking around in wet shoes all day.

Contrary to what is being said here, I do this everyday 365 days a year.... Yes through winter no problem. Many key mistakes in 1st 3 minutes. But this is a homeowner Washing their own place, I would hope.
1st the machine is just really small and not professional. Homeowners grade.
2nd use a longer pressure hose so that you can work a larger area without playing music chairs with your machine.
3rd Zep sucks to be 100% honest. And yes you do need to use chemicals otherwise your just moving mold away and it will grow back because the root system embeds itself it's the concrete surface. Washing with just water will not remove or kill the root system.
4th get a bigger surface cleaner.....
Masonry boots at home depot $18
5th only work the area you can keep wet. Good I see you said this! Never let your chemicals sun dry as the sun weakens their performance. Also rinse before the muck sun bakes back onto the concrete.
Just a few tips as I cut the video before he makes it to the driveway from the front walkway.... Not impressed but a typical beginner washer learning the ropes

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  Před 4 lety +8

I always start high so the dirty water runs down dirty driveway and not dirty water running down clean driveway. The shoes don't get that wet when you mainly use the surface cleaner. I am a business owner trying to get into pressure washing. Thanks for the comments!

@@CopperCreekCuts My dude, you're doing it right! Somebody wants to suggest that you start at a low place, and finish up at a high place? That'd make about as much sense as wiping your nose before you blow it! You and I both know-that don't make any sense at all! You definitely did it right! It just goes to show you just how many nutjobs and wackos there are in this old world of ours today!!! Keep up the great work!!!

@@CopperCreekCuts But you COULDN'T see what had been cleaned through all the soap. Constructive criticism/opinion here: Given the choice of having dirty water run down a clean driveway or dirty down a dirty, I'm choosing the former. Being able to see Precisely what was cleaned while keeping the upcoming parts dry/free of obstructive soap relieves you of unnecessary strafing back and forth. Very efficient. On the other hand, you don't want dirty water running down a 1st pass driveway....as if you WEREN'T going to do your 2nd pass... you DO do a 2nd pass right?!?!

If you don't "TREAT" the driveway with something the mold just comes right back. I use "Wet and Forget" made in New Zealand available @ Lowe's, HomeDepot, WalMart. Keeps the krud from coming back at my Florida house for nearly 3 years per application.
