- Location Unknown! From a VHS tape of live sets i purchased and decided to digitize for posterity. I did not shoot this, i dont know the lineage of the tape, dont own the rights to the music (obviously) - just posting it to get it out there!
**Label on VHS says "'Fine Day' is fucked but the rest is fine"
How can the sound quality be so bad...yet so good? The energy is raw and pure and original.

@@aberuthless jealous 😉 true emo before it was even a thing
It was Saturday May 29th in West Hartford Connecticut at the American Legion Hall. Garden Variety and Wish were on the bill. It was an afternoon show. There were maybe 50 people there from what I recall.
Thanks for letting us know
I wasn’t even born and I’m so envious!!!!
Damn that’s wild
Was there with Wish and have a bunch of pics from the show
Amen. One of the best memories of my life.
This is Joe from Garden Variety...I filmed this after we finished playing. Tes, that is Roman from GV at the beginning.

@@anomolydebaucle5320yes. Yes we are sure
This just made the last 31:46 of my life like stepping into a time machine to a better world. Still perfect in every way.
Pure gold. Thanks so much for digitizing this! I'm amazed how good the sound quality is. Brings back lots of memories.
absolutely
This rules, thanks for uploading this. Only discovering Jawbreaker recently, it's really cool to see stuff like this out there
I miss these times....
reading through Dan Ozzi’s book “Sellout” and man the Jawbreaker chapter is just crushing
elaborate?
@@ratcatbaseballbatpeople got really pissed at them for signing to the major label Geffen records. The label also didn’t do much to promote their album “Dear You” when it came out, and in addition to that they were catching tons of flack from their punk fanbase for even releasing an album on a major label. The band decided to call it quits not even a year into the album’s tour cycle due to personal tensions rising between the members, and the album’s commercial failure and constant criticism from their fanbase for signing to a major label didn’t help things. Thankfully we have them back though.
@@cashlayton1313 gotcha, thanks buddy.
@@cashlayton1313 and it turned it Dear You is an amazing and important album
Thank you Joe ,you do not know how much I appreciate this jam, and, it being recorded for many more people to see
I miss these days so much :(
They were at the top of their form those days. Thanks for sharing
What an amazing set! Blake killing it.
This is incredible
Either this is super early in1994 or the tape might be labeled wrong and it's 1993 on the When it Pains It Roars 93 tour. I saw them on this tour and I have photos of the show and Blake has the same hat on. I believe the did Europe after that tour then 95 was the Dear You tour.. It's really good. Thanks for sharing this.
Jason Willis I think Blake had surgery IN Enrope and in the video he brings up the surgery he had on his throat. Unless he had multiple
99.9999999999% sure thats a Peterbilt hat, when trucker hats were still trucker hats.
Yes, Jason is right. This show was in 1993. I still have the flyer for it.
yep, you're right, it's 1993. In 1994, May 29th landed on a sunday.
I think the confusion comes from 24 Hour Revenge Therapy coming out in 1994, and this set being full of songs from that LP. But of course, you are correct, this is May 1993.
rough on that throat brotha, much love
so many memories this is amazing
The best.
Thanks for posting this. Bringin' back the good memories. :)
YES!!! Finally, footage of Fine Day.
wow. what a find
This video makes me wanna be a punk rocker.
Lucky enough to catch jawbreaker twice. Most recently opening for AFI at the Kia Forum. They were incredible.

Sesnative about this monitor thing
Thanks Steve
I’d give anything to be at that show
Forest Gump is great at guitar
So I'm not the only one who's always seen a bit of a resemblance between Blake and Tom Hanks.
"I'll fucking destroy myself. It doesn't matter really". 🖤🌿
Would love to hear Indictment again.
That long break in the middle of Parabola where that chick says "Coooooool..." is fire

I live in west Hartford now. We could use a jawbreaker show.
Rad!
Dude from Garden Variety at the absolute beginning of this recording?
