Reddit was trying to deconstruct Karl's bass technique. No sponge no muting its ALL in the attack. The forearm cramps it took to attain that style and maintain it for going on 4 decades. No studio magic thats why him and other punks like Matt Freeman sound exactly the same live.

They sounds so good live it's incredible all of them
This just makes me so happy. Seeing everyone in the crowd singing along... If you would of told me when I was a kid this would be happening in 2017, I wouldnt of believed you. I saw these guys play a club with like 150 people. Makes me so happy to see this
They all play so seemingly effortlessly; it's awesome to watch.
