Slipknot is better than 60oz of coffee in the morning
Slipknot is life!
All of Slipknots members are musically brilliant, how they consistently come out with songs so intricate and tight with 9 members is so beyond me lol
Editing
Tbh some of them really don’t do much
Heard this track for the first time yesterday. It’s a romp Joey and Paul would be proud of
Most definitely. They would be proud of this one🤘🤘
I listened to mate feed kill repeat I don't agree
@@TshjDid I listened to MFKR also. That was a different style though with Brandon at helm before Corey. Even when Corey took over, they didn't turn into what they are now till later.
@@TshjDid it’s called evolution. paul and joey were big fans of the concept :)
I'm just impressed with Jay. I mean damn, could you imagine trying to replace Joey. Such huge shoes to fill. Jay is no Joey but he does an amazing job.
I love how they brought back a little "The Blister Exists" on this track
Totally could hear that as well!
At the high risk of getting shanked over it, I'm just going to say that this song feels like a modern "Duality" and i f***ing love it.
It's just, backwards. The chorus is that clean faded-out singing, and then the in-between parts are just heavy as all hell. If the rest of the album hits just as hard, it's going on my main playlist.
i can see definitly your point
I must disagree, because I find Duality to be catching at 1st hearing... while this song is all-in technical wise and it takes some time to catch all of that. This is not a radio song, sounding wise, like Duality is.
Interesting take. I do not see it though. However I really would be stoked to see if they could pull off another chart topping hard-rockish catchy single like duality.
Slipknot isnt just a band, they are a whole experience!! They are legens 🤘🏼 They just keep evolving their music 💯 And Jay on the Drums, Corey's voice, the setup , the new masks, the whole band and crew..... Everything about this is amazing!! We totally appreciate everything they have given us !! Love , Diamond💎+ Adam #MaggotFamily #TankTheMan
They are stagnant. Nothing evolving about them just the same
@@Alphablight bonehead comment
Agreed. They are phenomenal
Thank you for saying it Tank, been a fan of the band since I first heard them back in 1999 and I hate hearing people just hanging onto Iowa and self titled. They are amazing albums but Corey has evolved his soul d along with two surgeries that affected his vocals. Appreciate the classics but also listen to the new stuff for what it is and that's an evolution of the sound of Slipknot.
I totally agree, I too first heard them in 99, and yes to me their first album is still the best, but I love seeing the bands evolution over the years. Really exited for this new album
Agreed. Started with Vol. 3 at 10 yo and listened to self-titled the most til this day. But every album got me something. Hearing how they evolved is an absolute journey I love to take once in a while.
AGREED
Man, I remember seeing Slipknot at Ozzfest in '99, and they were just so different and so fresh. Sid hugged me after the show and drooled on my shoulder with his gas mask on, heh. That was such a good time to be into new music, right when Slipknot, Disturbed, and System of a Down were changing the landscape for heavy music that also had mainstream appeal.
I'm like a hair's distance away from buying a ticket to see Electric Callboy in Brooklyn just to experience that once in a lifetime show, especially because you're scheduled to be there, right Tank? I just hope it's not sold out. That would be really frustrating. Anyway, all the best dude :)
It's sold out on paper, but I'm sure there are ways to find tickets. And I agree, man, discovering Slipknot in the late 90's was so awesome, along with a lot of other band at the time, too.
Ozzfest 99 was my intro to Slipknot as well. Stage 2 at Deer Creek in Indiana.
Tattoo the Earth in 2000 was my indocttine. Mudvayne, Coal Chamber Slipknot, Hatebreed, seven dust, slayer, sepultura.. such a great show
you’re so lucky
Modern Slipknot songs need more than 1 listen. I'm a huge fan, but i find i need to hear songs at least 5 times, just to be able to pick up on all the individual sounds and things that are going on, and then appreciate how they manage to combine all that noise into 1 coherent song. First thing that jumped out to me on this one was the drumming. Jay just going to another level.
I remember my friend introducing me to "wait and bleed" while in high school in 99/20, and it changed my life musicly.
I immediately became obsessed with Slipknot, and became a huge fan of just metal in general.
I knew I found the right person to marry when I caught her listening to "The Devil in I" haha.
Through college I worked a lot of concert security, and I got to work several Slipknot shows. Just absolute insanity.
Other fun little fact. My buddy that introduced me to Slipknot, we share the same birthday.... September 30th
dude thats awesome!
It blows my mind that they signed a 7 album deal with RR for $500,000; 7 ALBUMS! They're a band with 9 members! I'm curious too see what is next for the KNOT?
I wouldn't be surprised if they just started self releasing, or started their own label and just signed a distribution deal with someone.
I'm happy to hear you liked WANYK. It's one of my favorite records from them. I'm also happy to hear you mention the people who constantly compare to ST and Iowa. I don't actually want another Iowa. We've got that. I want to see this band continually evolve. If they released an acoustic album I'd be down if it's what they're inspired to do and it's good. I hope this record brings the heavy, of course, but I hope it's diverse like the last record. Great video as always, sir!
I caught Slipknot in a small Iowa City bar before they got huge. The Step Kings Biohazard and Mudvayne opened the show. Mudvayne was handing out cassette tape demos with Death Blooms on it. Still got it laying around. Good times
I loved this song the first listen. But everytime I hear I re listen to it it gets better and better and is already one of my favorite songs
absolutely obsessed with the song, so many little gems of technicality and WE CAN HEAR CRAIG AGAIN! I haven't really heard Craig so clearly since the earlier albums
Some tid bits from the vid: Sid is holding his old mask and it's animated, the jaw moves while he holds it.
Jay also drops his left drum stick during v-man's solo (~8:35 in Tank's vid)
Hahahaha. I noticed Sid's mask, but didn't notice Jay dropping the stick. 😂
The fact that his "old mask" is just a mold of his own face; so he's gripping his *own head*. It's so much fun and creepy
They've been keen on having Jinjer join them in Europe and the US. That seemingly chaotic part that somrhow holds together explain why. Jinjer eats those sections for breakfast
I never noticed how much this song would fit in Vol.3 until you said it, now thinking about Corey mentioned that it's like Vol.3 but heavier
Tonight, July 28th, they played it as a complete live premiere in Prague. Pretty happy I was there, because it felt pretty damn special. My homie who wasnt impressed with the song initially actually loved it live because of that catchy chorus.
August, 3rd. Slipknot plays a show in Bratislava, Slovakia. The opener is Jinjer. I'm counting the days left, will be my first show after 2.5 years.
Slipknot is my hardcore favorite band and they nailed it on this video let's gooooooooo
So glad I came across your channel dude! Love your content and analysis. 🤘
Love this song. Love your reviews and reactions. You’ve introduced to a lot of good music.
9:07 You Know Once Tank Takes His Hat Off And Gives Us The Unholy Headbang Its A Certified Classic!!
Thanks Slipknot This Gives Me Iwoa Vibes Plus Sid Getting Busy On The Scratches 8:52 Is When Slip Is At Their Best
agree!
Everytime I hear this song it slaps harder and harder and I cannot wait until September 30th. Awesome reaction Tank.
I'm so excited for the new stuff I've loved the stuff they've done and I'm hoping this next album is a banger
New masks are insane :D can't wait to se them live again :D
Sid's mask is bonkers. I love it.
Their new songs fucking slaps and i'm so stoked for their new release!🔥
Absolutely superb video man. Love SlipKnot and this was a great informative and enjoyable reaction. Thanks man. Subscribed
I love this band so much. One of my favorite things about them is they aren’t afraid to experiment with their sound. Recycling the same sound would get old, so I enjoy the range they show, especially with their last couple releases.
I love this song, also I'm like you with self titled and Iowa as they was the albums of my early teens and made me who I am today. (slipknot was my first ever concert back in 2002) really excited for this new album to come out!
Was on the fence when I first heard this song, but this is about the 4th or 5th time hearing it and it gets better each time I hear it. Looking forward to hearing the whole album!
I was already pretty excited when I heard The Chapeltown Rag but now I’m beyond excited. Everything is just 🔥 Corey’s cleans (melody) was really interesting and his screams sounds filthy (in a good way of course). The video is amazingly shot as well. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I am so stoked for this new album, and I also love your Tank facts!
Awesome to see you do a slipknot video. My favorite band of all time. I miss the self titled and Iowa days too, but I also appreciate these days and progressions. They are such a multi talented bad, why hold them back to one sound when they sound good doing so much more… and you already know you will get some heavy AF bangers in there. Sept 30th. Can’t wait.
I have listened to this song at least 25 to 30 times now. It has totally grown on me. It is absolutely brilliant! I love it!
Slipknot for life 🤘🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷
Another great song from my favorite band. Been into Slipknot from the beginning. Great reaction aswell 😊
They never disappoint do they?!
Been listening to this on repeat since it dropped and I can’t get enough of it. Vol.3 was my jumping on point in about 2004 when I was 12/13 and I heard Before I Forget for the first time. This song harkens back to those glory days for me. I’ve enjoyed every album this band has dropped for numerous reasons and I can’t wait for this album!
You got a new subscriber by the way, great reaction! 🤘🏻🔥
I started listening to them in 2002 and it wasn't until this year that I lived somewhere I could go see them in concert... it was THE best live performance I've ever seen in my life. I can't wait to see them again. I agree with you this song also gives me Vol 3 vibes and it makes me so f*cking excited for the album.
I thought you were taking a break but glad you're back have a great day.
Slipknot is such an important part of my life. I won't get deep into, but they mean so much to me.
I always like your gear breakdowns and knowledge of the instruments.
love the review with the Tank Fact too... it really puts into perspective the song the histroy.. thanks so so much.. the moment your hat comes off.. IT gonna be HEAVY... looking forward to this Album... and looking forward to more of your reviews... thank you Stay safe Peace and Metal \m/
Tank you are one of my favorite reaction channels and Slipknot are my absolute number one favorite band so it's very fullfilling to see you react to their new stuff. Tonight they play here in Greece so I'm fuc...in over the moon that I'm going to see them for the very first time!
Can't wait to see you react to their album man. Cheers!
Yessssss. This song is amazing.
*slipknot has already stated that the album is a heavier version of vol 3*
Damn, these new masks... love them!!! :D Love all of your gear talks, this is super interesting to listen to. Thanks for all of your work an knowledge you share with us :D greetings from germany Spandau! :D
I like that it's _classic_ Slipknot in the same way that State Of Slow Decay is classic In Flames, yet somehow feels new.
The drum patterns at the beginning of the song reminds me of the self-titled album.
I like that you mentioned it being radio friendly. To me this is a safe arrangement and the tones sound...off somehow. But everybody's ears are different.
This one doesn't do it for me, but I'm sure there are others on the album that make me thrown my hat.
I've listened to this song half a dozen times now, and I'm just not feeling it. The chorus really isn't very good and the rest is just basic Slipknot faire.
This song just reminds me how much Slipknot helped me through my tough shit. From Iowa until now they just keep on producing excellent music.
That Tank BPM was a great touch 😂 Currently on a Tank binge! Slipknot is one of my all time favs… awesome vid!
Corey said this album will be like a heavier version of Vol.3
Really diggin these two releases from this new album. I LOVED We Are Not Your Kind and if Corey says The End, So Far is better I'm Stoked. Orphan is my favorite song off WANYK I'm looking forward to another brutal track like that
As soon as I saw you had a reaction to this, I knew the hat was coming off... That chorus is sickeningly catchy.
Let’s gooooooooo !!!!!!!!!
I like seeing the random Destiny content appear on your recommended videos also with the one destiny poster that you had on the wall
Song is so awsome i already heard them twice now two times main headlining and man they are so fcking nice and brutal at the same time.
i like your ending comments.
i very much am intrigued. i want to hear one of my fave bands reinvent themselves. i especially loved the grey chapter and one of the few early adopters of vol 3.
this song isnt close to my favorite but cant wait to hear morr
That tasty bass line and the drums are on point, juicy song.
Yeeeees dude 🤘 knew you'd be all over this LETS GOOO! and I get what you mean by there album presence to there radio ...killpop radio Vs Custer raaaaawr album 🤘
Epic song badass nine for sure hail the rock gods
I like the vid man. Earned a subscriber and a like.
my cousin introduced me to metal by showing me surfacing, and its been a long, fun, and fucking amazing ride since then.
Love the beard!
Glad to see you uploading a new reaction after your video talking about your inner issues at the moment. This is fun to watch as always and wish you and your family the best. Cheers !
To be fair, I had this one recorded before that other video, I just took a few days to edit it. As of right now I don't have anything else recorded. Haha
@@TankTheTech take your time, focus on what truly matters
Right there with you man. Slipknot was one of the first CDs I ever bought when I was in like 7th grade. It was one of the buy 12 for $1 from like Columbia House.
Iowa is my favorite Slipknot album. This sounds very promising. 👍
song is awesome. got me back into slipknot after letting them rest for a time bc lorna shore is just blasting
They did say the album will be alot like vol 3, and less like Iowa! Im still looking forward to the new album!Great reaction man🤘
You got on me a new subscriber dude, although I like a lot of other channels, you got me you breakdown every little aspect, of the music, band as unite and individually and of course you know what you're saying, I really appreciate it most channels are way superficial and you got a lot of depth in your analysis and breakdowns.. Keep up the good work and hope you gather more followers 🙌All love from Portugal
Thanks a ton, man!
was waiting for that hat being removed hahahah LETS GO TANK
Stoked for Yen release toniggt
Damn Tank! I love that you have the two latest albums of Evergrey up besides them. I can't see any other band having that!
Mick recorded the whole selftitled album on a Jackson V model but explained in an recent interview that it was too expensive for him to take it on the road, get stolen and what not. So he endorsed for many years with Ibanez which is a cheaper, good sounding guitar. And he was used to Seymour Duncan pickups.
Subbed good channel underrated and your breakdown , yes i vol.3 vibes
On my way to work today I heard the new Disturbed "Hey You" and I was surprised. This new Slipknot single would be great to hear on the radio waves as a eye opener
Haven't seen u in ages! New cam lookin crisp man, and awesome video as always! Fvck the algorithm and keep up the good job!
Absolutely agree with you. This made me so happy because it sounded like original slipknot imo.
*It's almost the same with every band. Reminds me of the lament after MetallicA released "LOAD"........"This don't sound like the "Black Album"...", "...it sounds like Lars Ulrich hitting trash cans instead of drums....". After certain albums lots of fans don't want anything to change, while another large number of fans want or, at least, are open to changes....* 🎵🎸🥁🔥🔥🔥🎹😈🎹🔥🔥🔥🥁🎸🎵
I like this song!!!!!🔥not as radio friendly as expected! Very heavy but also melodic as well!!!
The first slipknot I've EVER heard was the devil in I and bro the fucking drums ate FIIRREEE
I love the new songs feels old school
Slipknot !🤘🔥🤘
Slipknot will Always be Slipknot , Chaotic & Beautiful !
Now that you mentioned it I do agree that it has a volume 3 like tone, sort of that old school aggressive first 2 album vibes mixed with volume 3 and later melodies!
Can't fucking wait for this album
I think a new single is coming out on August 5th I'm so exited
100% agree with what you said about Jay. This song reminds me The Gray chapter album (for example The negative one).
100% Got Duality vibes listening to this when it came out. Exactly as you said with Vol 3 vibes at 5:23
Went to the Motley Crue Def Leppard concert last night in Denver Colorado, Def Leppard fucking sounds amazing. I was out of my mind at how good they sound. I got a Joan Jett t shirt because I am In love with her
It grew on me.I’m ready for the hard shit.
U are s got damn king man!!!
Yeah, I dig it so far. BTW my Jim Root Tele has been one of the best guitars I've ever owned. Out of all the guitars that have come and gone in my stable that one stays seated at the helm.
This song slaps \m/
SlipknoT FOREVER БИЛЯТЬ !
Also saw Jay Weinberg at Stockholm Stadium with Bruce Springsteen at that tour. He crushed it. The punky drive and doublekicks in Radio Nowhere was awesome. This song is all that some tracks on the last album really didn't achieve fully. This is perfect.
IMDB confirms that Shawn "Clown" Crahan was the director of this music video.
I mean, their actual music video confirms it as well. Haha
