- The Toronto Maple Leafs hired Craig Berube to take over behind the bench as the team's head coach. On Tuesday, Berube was officially introduced to the Toronto media alongside President Brendan Shanahan and GM Brad Treliving.

Leafs core 4 will go through a mall for Berube.
From the start so many people are against this hire and that includes me, maybe he is the right coach for this team man i hope so
So I was talking about this to a guy on the bus earlier today. He said how its good the Leafs have a "hard ass as the coach" and my answer was "Well hang on. Wasn't Babcock that? they played so badly they got him fired. Then afterwards it comes out that there was some shady but legal stuff going on (the phone the give me a list of a players the snitching said list of players) so Im terrifed Berube is like this. Also is it "be-ru-be" or Be-ru-BAY?"
tbh I kind of wish coaching decisions were made closer to the regular season (I get why they're not the draft FA etc) because tbh Craig can say whatever he wants right now but until we see the change in performance none of us is going to believe him.
Won’t make a difference unless the change a lot of players on this team especially the non playoff core 4 crew. I see 8-10 players and staff that need a chabnge Riley,Travaras, Marner, Samsonov, Brodie, Murray, 2 bench assistants, Muzzen, etc.
How soon until he gets fired?
i think he's going to surprise all of us ,this time it's the players that are on the clock
You need to do a summer boot camp starting now. They're good players but they're also cocky and you pay them way too much and you don't perform to what he needs to
Personally i hear alot about how the players run this team, how the leafs need a coach that will appease the players. Bottom line. This core four has done absolutely nothing, Let me repeat absolutely nothing to have earned the right to call not even one shot. They need to shut their mouths and do what they are being paid to do and that is fall in line under the chain of command and just do their own danm job to the best of thier ability.
