    It was the vessel that took out the bridge, not the bridge being too weak! Eyes open people!

    Ask how much it costs to dispose of the used up battery. Then ask how much a new battery costs. Then ask how long these batteries last. Then, add these costs to the price of the vehicle($60k?)
    Better purchase some annal ease as you head to the dealership.
    Think much??????

    There is no need for any environmental review to repair/replace other than to ensure the underline structure is sound.

      @pindapoy1596 Před 13 dny

      @votefornormality Many people have indicated that "dolphins" might have saved the situation or at least diminished the effect of the impact. If repair/replace means rebuilding identically, then dolphins will not be included (YES/NO???)
      If dolphins are included, more than one bureaucrat will claim that because the water flow pattern is changed, an environmental review to insure that some sardine or blue fog or some worm habitat is not disturbed, is now required. And here we go.

      @@votefornormality All the comments I have read on several websites including this one complained that the bridge did not have dolphins and most comments were also asking why they were not included in the original design or as a later improvement.
      Somebody even posted a picture of a nearby power line fitted with dolphins and commented that the bridge did not have them.
      I respectfully disagree with your statement.

    So in other words how many years is it going to take to build one damn bridge 5 years 10 years at what cost to the taxpayers is what I would be asking and how many of the federal government working people is willing to pony up with their salaries to rebuild this one bridge in Baltimore

    • @user-qn4zh2pw6m
      @user-qn4zh2pw6m Před 13 dny

      You don't know anything about infrastructure and it's economic importance, that's obvious. This will go through a Maritime Federal Court to determine liability. The insurers will pay after the process is complete. Tax money will be reimbursed. I doubt other than Social Security And Medicare contributions you pay any federal tax at all.

    I thought that bridge that collapsed in Baltimore was probably a damn good thing because our understanding there was a lot of rust on that bridge in the first place and not only that how come that shipping containers not paying to have that bridge rebuilt but it's on the taxpayers dime is the question I would be asking I think they ought to run into every bridge to see how many bridges are actually stable to stand

      @@user-qn4zh2pw6m I'm just kind of curious since how you constantly bring up the maritime law don't we think we need to bring it into the 20th century because that's exactly that we are in today there is no one behind the 20 we are in the 20th century not the 21st century no matter how hard you want to argue that point and the maritime law needs to be changed because I don't want to see my tax dollars take 20 or 30 years for us to get back from the shipping container that destroyed Baltimore's bridge plus I think we need to keep the EPA in every other damn organization out of it and start rebuilding that bridge today because the environmental damage is already done for that bridge being built years ago so maybe it's time to update all these laws that you fools are constantly talking about that's going to take years for us to recoup our money from that shipping container change the law to wear these places could be sued out of existence even if they're barge decided to fill at the moment of the impact and why haven't them people been thrown in prison for destroyinga multi-million dollar bridge even if they don't live in the United States of America I understand the federal government is wanting to prosecute everybody that is holding Americans hostages but I asked the one question how the hell are they going to get over there to get these people in the first place to throw them in prison here in the United States of America change the damn laws update recoup our damn money

    • @user-qn4zh2pw6m
      @user-qn4zh2pw6m Před 13 dny

      @@user-rn1sl9bt8s You're showing your ignorance again. The Ever Given which damaged the Suez Canal paid out in two and a half years, not decades. A Maritime Court first finds out what the cause of the ship losing steering, mechanical failure or human error. If the back up generators were properly inspected and engaged once every two months by the ships engineers and looks for any operating or structural damage of the ship before the accident happened to determine seaworthiness.
      Then they determine who has to pay which will be the ship owner/company, the insurer the company paid and the reinsurance company paid by the insurer. They also have to determine how much the owners of the cargo that was damaged are paid and the families of the workers killed. That's the way it works and Maritime Law agreements are updated on a fairly regular basis as technology changes. The USA pretty much gave up it's Merchant Marine fleet in the 1980's because of the actions of Reagan. What small one we have left is due to the Jones Act.
