  • What happened to Joel Embiids face?
Nba superstar Joel Embiid was recently diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. After months of migraines and other symptoms. Embiid finally went to a doctor to address his concerns and discovered the condition.
Fortunately Bell’s palsy usually doesn’t require treatment and will fully disappear for most people within the first 6 months of symptoms.

Ppl are mad bc he tackled Robinson, elbowed Brunson, checked OG, stepped on Hart and hit Hartenstein in the balls.

I read somewhere that active athletes are too healthy to get strokes. But the symptoms are definitely similar

It happened after a fall in playoffs and he hides it so it won’t get worse with all the lights

I’m not sure if that’s what caused it. It’s usually hard to determine what caused it.
Joel had been having symptoms for a while, he just ignored them until he couldn’t anymore

@@Plantmade its caused by some virus inflaming the facial nerve which runs through an opening in the skill so when it becomes inflammed it causes the bone to block off the nerve leading to temporally facial paralysis. some viruses could include lyme disease, HSV (herpes simplex virus aka cold sores) which 75% of the population has even if they dont know, chickenpox (also herpes and if you get it once itll stay in your body for life), epstein-barr or even just an ear infection ive heard but i have it rn from HSV and you get put on anti viral and steriods for it. reasons he could be hiding it with sunglasses is it does cause a lot of insecurities but mostly because your iris also becomes paralyzed or slowed which means you cant adapt to the light as much so i cant even step outside without sunglasses or an eyepatch. plus it helps less wind and dust to blow into your eye and since you cant blind as well, taking care of your eye is the most important thing during facial paralysis.

No rhyme or reason to it but you think that you're having a stroke. I didn't slur my words but I began drooling on myself and I could barely shut my one eye. It could take weeks or months to recover but mine last about 3-4 weeks. As a result to this, I will cry out of that eye when I eat. Crazy
