I would want to put it outside the cowling so I can see the rpm’s while running. Is this unit weather resistant?
Cheers, just bought one and I'm about to fit it, just a quick question does it work automatically when engine is switched on or do you have to press the on / off button?
Automatically works off impulse from sparkplug wire.no button .
How do you use the tape again
everytime u wanna see the hours, u have to remove the cover. Wont it be easy to install the meter on the outside of the boat cover?
I don't need to see the hours that often.mounting out side of the cover is a option though,just run the wire through a grommet.
Will this work for Yamaha too?
Yes .any outboard.
Why put it on the inside of the case? You can't see the rpm's when your running......
Is there a battery in the house meter
Yes,they say it last 10 years.
How does the meter knows when the engine is on or off to time it !?
