For me I just couldn't come to grips with the controls. For me the controls were just too twitchy yet too stiff at the same time, like a car that has oversteer on corner entry and understeer on exit. I had the same issues in All Out at first and then I discovered the bike tuning, and that completely changed the game for me. Being able to adjust the suspension, sprockets, etc allowed me fix any handling issues I had. I could take a 125 in All Out, upgrade it, and then tune it be somewhat competitive with the 450s in the outdoor tracks. The satisfaction in All Out of making a perfect tune and being able to absolutely rail ruts made it one of my favorite MX games. Made so many friends in All Out that would invite me to a party because I was fighting with them on a 125, and we had so many moments with me just trying to run a clean race and not make mistakes while they're panicking and trying to pass me and make a mistake and try to catch back up. I'm not gonna say that SE is objectively bad because it really is a great MX vs ATV game just because of the massive amount of content and modes, but I didn't personally enjoy it because skill issue.
This game was actually great once you got good at it but man it was a grind to get good at. Probably one of if not the hardest mx vs atv game to master imo
Your encore content was so chill too! Just straight up ton of content and racing! And the online racing videos were epic too. I think bc the wider tracks allowed for some real fast action.
i've only played mx vs atv untamed so I cant speak on other games but going from that to this took a bit to get used especially since the turning/leaning is on both controllers instead of just 1.

I would have to argue that when we were all playing you were t40 in the game speed wise for sure! Great video for sure! It brings back so many memories seeing this game again, I think our group has to have a total of 20k plus hours just every night racing in encore.
Totally agree that that group of players in Encore had soooo many hours if they were all put together. I don't think I have ever been as dedicated to a moto game as I was with Encore.
think All Out requires the most time to actually be good & appreciate it. weird that people think Reflex was the best, if you go back to play it, it's super arcade-y compared to all out. with some easy changes/fixes, Legends could easily be their best game to date.
I still love Reflex the most I think, but it's pretty close with Encore. I definitely know that it took time to master All Out. I've seen some super fast laps by some of the best in the business. I've just never been as dedicated to a moto game as I was with this one.

Going back to a realistic seat bounce for legends would be nice, the down/up mega preload kinda ruins some of it. But, All Out has a lot going for it too if they could clean it up and expand the customization of online race formats/options. I understand their need to market to the general audience, but maybe unlocking a pro physics option could be a direction to go for those that want to take the game further. Things like rebound/compression on suspension, tire pressure, removing the unrealistic features like down/up preload, and so on. Doesn't have to be a Simulator, just something that would represent the actual fans of motocross in a more true light, while still having an easy "standard physics" option for the not-so-hardcore general fan of anything off-road. I don't see why it can't be both.
I loved this game the best part we’re the scrubs and whips. I found out if you tap the rear brake on the takeoff the whip glitch is boosted even further and if you pull back on the sticks just after you took off you threw the fattest turn down whip I’ve ever seen but I’ve never seen anybody do it before which kinda makes me sad coz it’s so easy to do and looks so good
Honestly, this is the game that got me to subscribe to your channel and watch your videos and I’ve been watching them since then! I remember the replica supercross tracks that would come out every week during supercross season. I would always look forward to watching your video that day before I would download and play that track! I think I enjoyed playing this game more than any other MX or SX game because of the replica tracks! Thanks for the memories Windham!

So my biggest issue with the game right now is the preload.. I can’t figure it out for the life of me. Sometimes I’ll get all the preload but most of the times I’ll barely get any. My bike is fully upgraded so idk what I’m getting wrong. I really like the game but the preload not working for whatever reason is really turning me away. Sucks that no one has videos on CZcams on how to preload. I saw the tutorial in the game and I’m still not getting it. Grrrr I really want to get good at the game but the preload is pissing me off

Hey windham so I just got into supercaros awhile back and dirtbikes so I bought my mx vs atv encore and I don’t know how to switch to manual can tell me because with automatic I’m going super slow and not making any of the jumps
Supercross Encore is my most played MX Vs. ATV. absolutely LOVE this game! edit: also the only dirt bike game where i didnt mind the automatic shifting as much
I have encore for Xbox one and it's harder for me to play with a corded controller than a battery power controller unless it was a battery power controller that used the cord because the corded controller had me over steer
I could never get the flow and rhythm down in encore. I didn't like the preload. The few times I did gel with it I could tell it was fun. The clutch boost just felt bad as well as the preloading. The most recent atv vs mx I could never get full preload no matter how hard I tried. Being good at glitches shouldn't even be a thing. These glitches ruin the MP for most players.
I definitely am not saying I love glitches in games to go faster. Being able to exploit them better makes a player faster. That being said, I did learn to do them to some degree and it just became the norm to do it at this point.
Lol. Bro we did Reflex with the top 5 custom track video. I explained in the beginning that I was going to do that video that way because we still actively play Reflex a decent amount on the channel. And last week we put up the Alive video. The only one I skipped, because it just wasn't worth it in my opinion, was MX vs ATV Supercross. Since that game was basically this game but worse.

Everyone is different, so maybe this will be the game you completely gel with. For me, the first time I played it, I wasn't the biggest fan. Kind of a game that just grew on me, you know? I would definitely encourage you to stick with it even if it feels frustrating at the beginning. A very rewarding and satisfying game once you pick up on how to play it.

I'm not seeing the contradiction. I said just clutch boosting and preloading wasn't what made a player really fast. Whip glitching, double preloading, and learning to run the manual really well is what took time. You must not have heard me right. When I run really good laps, I hardly ever clutch boost. The game was about holding 5th gear through the corners without pushing over the berms. Some clutch boosting maybe, but mostly when I would mess up a rhythm section to get going again. Pretty sure I mentioned that as well in the video.

I mean it's a video game. There are plenty of other games out there that do it differently. It's not just clutch boost and preload. I enjoy it a lot and I know that other people do too. You don't have to like it, that's totally cool. But it did take time and grind to learn to fly around the track.

These are by far the most unrealistic of supercross games…you literally can jump like 400ft quads Rhythm sections in 2 jumps in real life would take 4 minimum just hands down unrealistic if your looking for realistic atm vs Mx is not what you want

Definitely. Alive was the other game I mentioned I thought took a decent amount of time to get really good at.
Local gme didn't have legends so I grabbed this for 10, I played the 360 version yrs ago but I just wanted to hit some quads

just bought the physical track version for xbox one to play on my series x. Just worth owning physically if you ask me. Can't wait!

I like Supercross Encore but I find that there are not many varied tracks like on MX vs ATV Reflex and Untamed that are the best for me
Untamed had the best tracks and also the best stadiums in the series in my opinion
