You cannot buck the market. FFP literally destroyed the January transfer window. If the Premier League wants to remain the best league in the world they cannot persist with FFP. We are already losing players to the Saudi Pro League. Total bluff on the part of UEFA. Let's go big, spend big and win a bloody domestic trophy for the first time in 69 years! We have to win something. Then we can worry about conquering Europe

I'm not hyped just yet, still expecting a catch because there will be one, still plenty of time to alter things plus who knows of the changes in the meeting at the time, there'll meet somewhere in middle to keep uefa happy and the top sides.
Still plenty of time before the meeting.

If the new rules pass, I highly doubt we would get a £25 million+ fine like man city got before the 115 rules they broke came along. We would get a bigger fine, at the very least.
I would love us to spend over £1 billion in 2 seasons like chelsea has, with every player getting 8 year contracts to bypass ffp rules.

The massive wage potential that would exist has been enough to persuade plenty of great players to go to the Saudi League. Newcastle would also offer players the potential to play in the best, most popular and most competitive league in the world. There’s no chance UEFA aren’t going to be having the best players in the world not appearing in Europe

I’m absolutely against us being a club that progresses only by throwing cash at it. All the criticism I’ve had for PSG, Man City and the like would then apply to us. I feel like it would make us a lot less. Winning against the odds is far more rewarding than winning at any cost.

I think some are getting over excited. AS has explained in numerous interviews that what made NUFC an attractive investment WAS the FFP restrictions. None of the owners have complained about them, only noted there impact. Whilst PIF may have the resources, neither AS or Jamie Rueben have shown any indication they'd be prepared/able to match pro-rata a major cash injection for squad spending. I fully expect a loosening of purse-strings, but not too much.
