Hi! Laser engravers remove material by etching (burning) the metal with a hyper-focused light source. For this reason, engravings will typically come out black or charred. The Best Built laser engraver software has the option of generating a 'cleaner' pass, which will trace over the engraved area with a low-energy laser pass to remove or 'clean' the charred part from the engraving, leaving the engraved area clean and clear of debris. Further polishing will still be required for a mirror finish. Hope this helps!

Best Built laser engravers come with a rotary ring attachment which will allow the user to mechanically control where the engraving will go, with a laser preview contour. This laser preview makes it easy to visualize where the design should be engraved on the inside of the ring.
