My Dad had a blue '68 Delmont. 4 door with a black interior (so hot!). No A/C and just an AM radio. I remember the greenish/bluish light over the ashtray, so you could find it in the dark. I wanted to drive that car so bad, he traded it in when I was 15, a year before I got my driver's license

You caught a gem there! But I fear that you're right, that it's too much of an investment to get it fully going. Just shape it up enough to pass it on as a project job.

Just saw this video pop up in my recommended even though its a few months old. Judging by the quick look, the seats arent original and are probably out of a later 71-76 B body car. Also, an "old timer's" trick for those 2jet carbs, once its running and warm, have someone mash the throttle and cover the airhorn to "smother" it out until it almost stalls, that helps suck any floating debris through the carb if its plugged up. Good luck with this project!

It would be a lot of work for you or somedy else, but these are the few remainings and won't be produced again, that what makes them so valuable ( not in $ though but, cars are getting high in prices )

Looking at it now that it's out of the brush pile, it does look really far gone. Old cars look good even in that shape though. I'd love to see it on the road again but I have a feeling that would be too much work. It's amazing how good it is mechanically for a car that sat there so long. It just goes to show how great old cars are. Great job reviving it Jake.

I remember these cars. Back in the 1980's this would be a $200.00 car. Whoever had it probably used the Bondo to make it look better so as not to attract the police. Those seats aren't original. They are from a newer car. The Oldsmobile Rocket was an awesome engine. I think the car has possibilities if the frame is ok. Will be a lot of work but could be a beautiful car. I'm writing this comment part way through the video and I'm anxious to see how this goes. 1968 is the year I was born.
