Thanks for the advice
One point you didn't expand on was the time it could take until the Contract actually reaches the signing stage. When we were in ROI 2015/2016 while attempting to find our retirement 'cottage' we heard many stories where Contracts could take up to a year or more to actually reach signing stage due to planning and other issues. We also fiound Vendors difficult to deal with as they played with you as to whether they wanted to sell or not despite listing their property with an Agent.
Very informative. Thankyou
terry love the videos on youtube and tiktok have learned a lot.Wondering if you could do a video on planning permission for building larger wall on a detached country home county wicklow thanks.
❤❤❤
super, keep up the great work
New subscriber here, as a vendor I was asked by the purchaser when contracts are signed if they could move in by means of paying rent till closing date as they need a place to live, thanks for the videos.
I would be extremely surprised if your solicitor advised you to permit this. I definitely would not advise it.
@@terrygorry Understood my friend, a million thanks
Hi Terry, my son was verbally offered a new retail job, but they won’t give him a formal conditional job offer (the dont do that- quote). They want him to hand in his notice on his current job. Any advice if videos on this. I’ve told him without a formal offer he can’t leave the current job. Thanks Denis
Denis, he will have to weigh up the risks and decide for himself what he wants to do. He could get a formal, written offer for the new job, take it on and be let go with a week's notice if he is on probation. Which he will. So he needs to decide.
You're saving a lot of solicitors the same duplicate / annoying emails :)
Hi Terry, what could someone do to transfer a property to someone else or to a company without paying too much tax?
Go to a tax advisor
@@terrygorryThanks!
Hi Terry. Thanks a million for the video! If you have a chance, could you kindly take a look at my question below?
I recently got sale agreed on a property. However after 3 weeks, my solicitor told me they have not received the sale advice note yet. Agent said they did send it out like 2 weeks ago. I do notice the property ad is still on. Do you think it's a red flag?
I'm a first time buyer and I'm really confused of the current situation ....
Ring the estate agent. Did you pay a booking deposit?
@@terrygorry thanks for the reply Terry! Yes, we paid deposit right away. We even have surveyor done already.
@@forestruan3375 Then there should be no ambiguity. Contact the estate agent and ask him why he has not taken down the board and not issued a sales advice note. And threaten to walk away.
@@terrygorry Thank Terry! We will try that.
What happens to the title documents once the mortgage is paid in full
You pick them up and do what you like with them
I’ve gone sale agreed, the sell has now pulled out, should they pay my solicitor fees?
No
@@terrygorry thank you
