Hey Daz, I stayed there for a month. Great place. You missed the 5th floor, has the main pool (much larger) , restaurant, and a great co-working area. Also, there are two areas on the 31st floor, a garden, library and meeting room. This place is "over the top" in decorating and nice. Quieter than Copacabana, only 500 or so units and from staying at both, much better service. The facial scan enforces the monthly rental rule better, Copa has many short stay guests and more of a "party" short stay attitude. I really enjoyed my 1 bd, 45 sq meter 16th floor rental. This is a great place!😊
The entrance is made for rich guys from India. Not my taste. It has nice extras, no question. But for me, I would prefer to not spend more than 10K for a flat. Keep up the good work. 👍
This interior design has more of a trendy bohemian aesthetic than Indian over-the-top tacky. There’s a big difference. Indian decor can be gaudy and ostentatious, the former is camp and contemporary artistic. I do agree it’s not for everyone; there are those who “get it” and those who don’t.
I believe that’s what you call a reflecting/reflection pool. A reflecting pool, also called a reflection pool, is a water feature found in gardens, parks and memorial sites. It usually consists of a shallow pool of water with a reflective surface, undisturbed by fountain jets.
Stunning building, definitely aimed at young, affluent Chinese/Indians. I do admire modern Thai condos, they make apartments in the west look shabby especially when you consider the rent in your local currency.
My pick Daz would be the 2 bedroom condo. Spectacular views all around and 2 balconies!. Nice that there is a dining area separating the 2 bedrooms. The bathtub is definitely a seller too. Great for guests and visiting family to stay with a 2nd bedroom since it is close to the kitchen and it has its own bathroom. I would say the unique pools with the circular seating area in the middle look a lot like a keyhole. Nice way to unlock fun at the pool.🤣🤣🤣
That looks like a great place! It'd be interesting seeing a direct comparison between it and Copacabana since they're so close to each other in both location and pricing
Wow, hope I can get a 1 bedrm like this when I relocate to Pattaya next year. This channel is really a cut above the rest...always some valuable info in every video 👍👍
I think the general advice is to get a decent hotel on your arrival, and the look around for something more pemenant when you get there. Don't comit to a long contract online!
Thank you, Daz. Appreciated! I think these are currently low season rental prices. For anyone who wants to buy there: When Copacabana II (around 50 plus floors ?) is completed in 2027/2028, that will be the end of the good view to the northwest. You may still be able to see Koh Larn, but you will never be able to see Pratamnak from these balconies again :-)))
Kinda flashy building for my taste but with nice facilities. Good value for the money. I would call that pool a loungepool😅. Thank you for sharing, Daz.
@@peterhousego3973 I only booked a month and that is way long enough. The Aircon is louder than a jet engine so I can't sleep with it on. The temp control doesn't work so it just blows maxed out all the time so I am forever turning it on and off. etc etc etc lol
@@claudiospies1905 It was a while ago. The room was approximately 35m2, 24th floor. The rent was 25,000THB per month plus water and electricity. I moved to Dusit Grand View Condo. 16,000THB per month plus extras, 33rd floor. I only get the sun till 12pm at this time. A lot more pleasent in the afternoon.
As the time is go and the prices goes to another level. The westerns are getting the signal's of 'go somewhere else' ,this place will be for the richest eastmen.
1 bed = $462 but 2 beds = $1495. Why not rent 3 -1 beds for $ 1,386? These condos and their crazy 2 bed pricing makes zero sense. But this example takes the cake.
It's not the bedroom number that makes the prices but more the sqm and floor level and View side, it's a combination of all these factors. ( of course also the location ) if this would have been in Central Pattaya then the 1 bedroom unit would have been 25k a month. ( The Edge or the Base )
@@claudiospies1905 obviously I highlighted the obvious in order to make a point. I’ll stand by my comment that the step up in price with two bedroom condos in Thailand are generally outrageously priced when compared with similarly appointed single bedroom units. That said it’s still less than what I’m paying stateside until I can get there. So there’s that.
Daz, Firstly, your content is premium. I learn so much from it. TIA. I've a quick question which is likely covered somewhere but I just can't find it. If a person rents a condo at say Riviera or another via Airbnb for a month, are those properties guest friendly like the hotels are? Personally, I'd rather stay at a condo than a hotel, but these are residences after all and residents might not want to see visitors come and go often.
It’s a nice building, overall. 17000 is reasonable for not having a sea view. That “designer pool” is a bit of wasted space for only two seating arrangements.
Not very far in the video I will admit! But Riviera and 4 lane dual carriage way is not sononymous in my book, perhaps the rear of the builing is different?
of all the condos i have seen on your channel this is easily the gaudiest building and condos i have seen, Its like walking into a trinket shop full of hanging this and that and the colours are just awful and does not make it a homely place. its ok if it was a museum not a place to reside
You could rent 3 one bedrooms and it’s still $109 cheaper than the 2 bedroom. Farangs need to just stop paying these ridiculous prices before things continue to get way out of control.
Somehow I don't think that any hot blooded straight male would feel comfortable here. I'm not male, but my poor eyes! It's a bit much, right? Very Liberace meets Versace.
What would I call the common elements here? Confused and garish. Picture an artist throwing a bowl of spaghetti , tomatoes and meatballs against the wall - and calling it "art"..🤨 The units are ok except for the horrible couches that remind me of skimpy western, rattan furniture... too small - no armrests... Red countertops.. seriously? I would need to wear my sunglasses in that unit... at night. Want a better place in a better location? Check out Panora Condos in Pratumnak on Soi 5... luxury with a great location - 5 minute walk to the beach and right across the street from a couple of lovely GC clubs... and right next door to a 7-11.
Yes… Panora is superior in design and location.., both properties offer shoebox apartments.. you want large apartments go north.. to Wongamat…. For older larger condos..

Thank you for this additional information, it's a shame that we did not see the 5th and the 31th floor.

Are there good restaurants in the area ? Thanks
'A pool not meant for swimming' would be my shot at naming it.

The 1 bedroom, with the 2 bedroom view would be perfect.
Thank you…. I wondered what happened to Liberace’s furniture.
Ha-h-ha-ha-ha🤣
I get that it's not everyones style, but I like it.
The 1 bedder is right up my alley, but that 2 bedroom is awesome, and the Riv Ocean Drive is in a great place in Jomtien.
typical like high end hotels were the lobby looks good then you get a bit of a spartan room for the first one

A fantastic condo complex. Great video Daz 👌🏻
Interior design was made for taking social media photos, shout out to the cleaners for keeping all the shiny surfaces finger print free .
Thanks for another great video Daz. Always enjoy the condo videos
vee is so lovely 🥰

Several former residents have made videos complaining about the smell of sewage backing up on lower residential floors.
Too much going on with that place. Simple but functional is much better for me. Good luck guys 😀
Nice looking building thanks for showing it to us Daz
Perfect location, great price for one bedroom. Thanks,, I hope there's one available in a month.

I’m pretty sure I had a flashback to the 60’s in that lobby (even though I wasn’t around quite that early).

The pool that is primarily for aesthetics and not intended for swimming is often called a “decorative” or “ornamental” pool!
It's a lounge pool. People go in there with their drink and just lounge around in the water
This is one of the coolest condos I’ve ever seen in the Pattaya area. BTW, I’d say the name for that pool is a “boutique pool” 55555!
Ha Ha why not !!!
Kinda flashy building for my taste but with nice facilities. Good value for the money. I would call that pool a loungepool😅. Thank you for sharing, Daz.
Thx Daz.....1 bedroom is nice, 2 bedroom too much in my book
Looks better than the room I am renting at the Riviera Jomtien. And I am paying more. wow. Might have to look into moving
I stayed at Riviera Jomtien for three months. Could not wait to get out of the place. Most of the rooms face West. Disgustingly hot in the afternoons.

it is call a dipping pool more for relaxing while dipping in the pool to cool off
That girl showing you around is stunning truly stunning ❤ that first place was amazing so interesting 😊😊
Both are !!!
17000 for all that that is a bargin if you can live in a shoe box
I agree, they should have made this into a Studio apartment and it would have had a much bigger feeling than a 1 bedroom Condo.
im sitting in a hotel in pattaya. i wonder if a cono would also work. i mean the hotel does breakfast auntil 11 no one is awake there.
2 bedroom price per square meter is way higher than 1 bedroom.
It's a cocktail pool it's not made for swimming, it's made for hot weather,to relax an have drink in water.single places has these for private fun
"Water feature", perhaps?
Nice
Great video Daz. I'm glad you're mixing up the condos with more than just the tiny budget condos.. keep up the good selection
That's the plan!
I hope there’s a room available when I come back

VERY nice places to live. Great possibilities.
The 2 bedroom is way too expensive! And only 73 sq meters.

Versace inspired but to small

A bit gaudy in the common areas. The 2nd unit is very nice, but too high a price. Nice views though! 1st unit too small for more than short visits.
A "Lounge Pool" brother.
That entrance hall is really odd! Definitely not for me, wonder where they got the idea for it? The rest of it all seemed nice!

I will say. That front door is amazingly beautiful!
Is that hand carved... OMG!
55000 a month only rich people could afford this and the entrance lobby to the complex is bloody awful
And dirty windows to boot
Can you rent for 3 months ? 6 months? Is water included or separate?
As always with this type of property it's 6 months min
As always, water is never included, it's charged with the Electric.
Thank you
