- 2024ലെ ട്വന്റി20 ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ലോകകപ്പ് ജയിച്ച ഇന്ത്യൻ ടീമിലെ മലയാളിയാണ് സഞ്ജു സാംസൺ. മുൻ ഫുട്ബോൾ താരം സാംസൺ വിശ്വനാഥിന്റെയും ലിജിയുടെയും മകനായി 1994 നവംബർ 11ന് വിഴിഞ്ഞം പുല്ലുവിളയിലാണു സഞ്ജുവിന്റെ ജനനം. ഡൽഹിയിൽ കളി പഠിച്ച്, കേരളത്തിനായി കളത്തിലിറങ്ങിയാണു സഞ്ജു എന്ന മലയാളിപ്പയ്യൻ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സെൻസേഷനായി മാറിയത്. ഐപിഎൽ ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ രാജസ്ഥാൻ റോയൽസിന്റെ ക്യാപ്റ്റനാണ്. 140 കോടി ജനങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് 15 അംഗ ദേശീയ ടീമിലേക്കുള്ള സഞ്ജുവിന്റെ വഴികൾ ഒട്ടും എളുപ്പമായിരുന്നില്ല. കാണാം ‘ഒരിടത്തൊരിടത്ത്’ പരമ്പരയിൽ സഞ്ജുവിന്റെ ജീവിതം.
Oridathoridath (ഒരിടത്തൊരിടത്ത്) video series features the life and career of Sanju Viswanath Samson (സഞ്ജു വി സാംസൺ), a Malayali Indian international cricketer who captains Kerala in domestic cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, playing as a wicket-keeper batter. Born on November 11, 1994, in Pulluvila, Vizhinjam, Thiruvananthapuram, Sanju Samson was part of the Indian team that won the 2024 Twenty20 World Cup, although he did not feature in any matches. Sanju Samson made his India debut in 2015 and his ODI debut in 2021. Starting his career in Delhi, he later moved to Kerala and made his first-class debut in 2011. Sanju Samson won the Emerging Player of the Year award in the 2013 IPL and scored a double century in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Sanju Samson scored his maiden ODI century against South Africa on December 21, 2023. Known for his aggressive batting style, Sanju Samson has been a key player for his teams, often taking on the role of a finisher. Despite facing ups and downs in his career, Sanju Samson remains a promising talent in Indian cricket.
