I like the Vanguard mics.... I purchased the Vanguard V4 Gen 2 after watching your review on it..... As far as tube mics for me I went with the Lewitt Pure Tube which is absolutely incredible!!!!!!.... Hope u get a chance to review it... I think u will like it.....
Hi Czar, i own a V13 Gen 1 and this mic sounds fabulously to me, especially in the low mids and this cutted but smouth top end as you mention, how does it compare to Roswell's tube mics ? If i remember well you own a Colares right? By the way thanks for these great reviews!
Very welcome, Yes I have the Colares, it's not a tube mic but has a ton of color to it. Definitely more than the V13. Very deep and rich. The pad on the colares helps reduce the harmonics. I haven't compared it directly to the V13 but I'd call the V13 warm and smooth.
Hi czar, I bought a Roswell minik47x 3 days ago and i must say it is better than my warm audio wa8000. Little compression and i am done. With the wa8000 i have to tweak the eq for a good sound. My question is do you have a review about the mini k 47x? And what is the difference between the mini k47x and the Tube mic colares. I mean the difference of their Sound.
The colares is not a tube mic, but the colares will have a smoother top end and overall more color and character. The 47x has a more forward mid range. I keep forgetting to review the 47x. I think I got that one right when COVID hit and never got around to reviewing it
the 103 is low noise but thats all its got going for it to me. at $1,200 its very expensive for a transformerless mic. And its cardiod only and doesn't come with a shock mount. Check out the Vangurad V4 or Roswell Delphos II for transformeless mics with more features, includes a shock mount, and has a cheaper price tag. Also check out my video on the V4 vs the TLM102. czcams.com/video/B0NuZ51tstg/video.html
@@TheAudioCzarsure i will check the video Yeah that's what i was sayin the price for neumann tlm 103 it's not worth it sure it sounds good but the price is not I was thinkin about the warm audio what u think about them
@@TheSlim1 your really paying for the name. The Warm Audio WA8000 is the only Warm Audio mic I've tried. Warm Audio just clones stuff, which is fine if you want a clone, but I like companies that do their own thing, Vanguard, Roswell, Miktek, Lauten Audio,
Please, do a demo of this mic going straight into the audio interface, no external hardware preamps.
Been eyeing this mic, thx for the review.

Would love a comparison between the Colares and V13 Gen 2

Listening to some tracks recorded with the Colares i thought it was a tube one... Ok thanks ;)

How does this compare to the original?
Can't say because I never use the original, But they're going to both have the same sound signature. So I wouldn't expect a night and day difference.
What u think about the neumann tlm 103 is it over price is it worth it ??
Is there any mic better than tlm 103
at the same price or less
