The alternator is basically what recharges the battery. Therefore if you have a bad alternator and a new battery its most likely the alternator that need to be replaced or else you'll have to get a jump every time you want to go somewhere lol
I can confirm it’s a dead battery just charged mine with a 10$ motorcycle charger I had bought from harbor freight from awhile back and now I’m back on the road
