- My granddaughter, Hilary Martin is a bright, rising fishing star who has just been accepted on the University of Alabama's fishing team. Today we are teaming up with some fine flipping and pitching for some big bass on Headwater Lake near Vero Beach , FL. Later in the day Hilary switches to a Chatterbait and an other whole different ball game with more big bass!

Always cool to see the pro I remember growing with his granddaughter of next generation of pros. Which gives me hope that the pro bass tournaments will continue on.
Hopefully they will start working on fish sustainability and use catch boards and photos in the future.

Ya know Roland even when our granddaughters are full grown women they'll still be little girls to us in certain ways. That said, it is really nice watching them growing up and getting out on their own. Keep the good stuff coming.

She was ahead of the game at birth if we’re honest lol, but she’s got the passion and real potential to be great. She’s 100% gonna succeed, but in all respect it’s all a given. She’s a Martin, she couldn’t fail in the fishing industry if she tried. That’s how important your family is. It can be aggravating sometimes to see, but I like to think it’s Gods plan. She gets a lot of our generation and even younger generations interested in the sport.
