I met Jimmy once at a sportsman show in my home town several years ago and he is one cool dude, took the time to talk and shook hands. I grew up watching Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston and Bill Dance. I learned a whole bunch from those guys that's caught me a lot of Bass. Nothing but Respect for the three Legends.🎣

Jimmy, I can remember when my son was about 9 or 10 yrs old, he love fishing, and he started collecting cards of all the fishing celebrities, he still has avery good collection, and yes you are one of his favorite, my son is in his late 40's. Keep those videos coming.

Awesome video! These two guys are two of the best bass fishermen ever and their friendly banter is classic. Could watch them all day. Reminds me of me and my buddy who fish all the time together. If you didn't know us, you would think we don't like each other by the banter back and forth. More 4 letter words are used than these two..lol. I think that if there was no cameras on it would be almost identical banter. Cheers Mr Houston and Mr Martin!

I have fished in the Texas Hill country since I was a little guy, now I'm 63 and work all the time,no time to fish but I do remember the time I was fishing the bank on lake Marble Falls Texas, when this guy in a boat asked me if I wanted to fish with him and I said sure I asked him his name and he was Roland Martin I climbed in we fished for a little while I caught one bass Roland said he was heading to a tournament and was just practicing he dropped me off the bank he went on his way I'll never forget that day he is a great fisherman and I hope he's doing okay.

I use to go fishing with my grandfather when I was a kid. He would get drunk until he couldn't walk and let me drive the boat. He was also known to eat minnows for good luck. He was a legend

I keep learning more and more from both of you!!! Tried a Whopper Plopper this morning but fish weren't biting. Going to fish in Sebring, FL today to see what I can catch! The Whopper Plopper is so cool and really makes a unique sound in the water!! I also use other Top Water lures as well as Crankbaits and Spinners. I am not coming home today til I catch one!! Don't care if I have to fish til the we hours of the night, I'm getting something! LOL :)

@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Yeah it's been a rough start for sure, I've not been to Minnesota yet, bet it's nice. I've been trying to figure out what these fish are biting on, usually I'd be getting top water busts throwing a moss frog across the moss and duckweed in the back of lakes, or throwing spinnerbaits in the streams and catching. Might just be the bad luck in weather, been hot and raining, water depth and clarity constantly changing. Either way I'm just glad to be outdoors lol. May God bless you as well. Cash

Hi Jimmy, I just sent a message on one of your other CZcams video comments. Do you and Roland ever have days when you go out and fish on a lake and catch nothing? Seems like right now the fish are not biting as much as when I moved here to Lakeland, FL last August 2022. Is this not a good time of year to fish?

@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Yes, I saw that message. Thanks!! Just caught a small 10" bass here at our creek using a Wacky Rig worm. Unfortunately he swallowed the hook and didn't make it, so I put him on ice and going to clean and cook him tonight. Not sure what kind of meat you can get out of a 10" bass but I will watch some UTube videos and learn how to clean and cook them. Never cleaned or scaled a fish before. LOL I usually go to the store for seafood. Wish me luck!! I'll see if you or Roland have any videos on cleaning and cooking bass. :)
Jimmy did you know it’s been a year since we took our Ranger z118 for a swim. My dad no sorta talked about getting her fixed but theirs no body local no body abroad that can fix an EVINRUDE e tech h.o. with a cooling problem that’s not the water pump. my dad said take it out if it does it again which it will heat alarm 🚨 will go off. I know we should have went with MERCURY but at the time their was two boats your stuck with this color or that for RANGERS being that size. Now that MERCURY has come out with with PRO XS i think if my dad could he swap engines he would. i asked what’s your guess on price for a 150 too much or 20,00$ plus. i just oh end of that idea. i haven’t even fished in a year. plus theirs nobody you can trust. these days. even if a thirty dollar part motor runs fine etc it’s that stinking cooling issue nobody with software to run diagnostics i told my dad what you wanted for your boat you guessed it his eyes 👀 got a big as saucers maybe MERCURY/RANGER would do a give away with a 250 one of these years. one side of me says go fish on the bank the other says just give it up you’ve been this long. So for now i’ll watch you fish 🎣 maybe the coco nut 🌰 will fall our way.
