I think most towers struggled with breakers was due to the short period of invincibility they have when they spawn from another breaker which for towers that have a very long firerate means that they could waste a full 1-2 shots without doing any damage.

Honestly breakers are way worse than mystieries. Towers like g minigunner, accel and engi that have high dps would absolutely shred molten mode alone but these breakers have invincibility and makes those towers wayyy worse
HERE'S AN UPDATE VERSION WITH THE 2 NEW EVENT TOWERS Jester: Jester, known as the best event tower now, and good for early game, did insanely good. Considering only 8 of them could be placed, I was able to make it to wave 40 no sweat. The only time I had a big leak late game was wave 37, when 2 Speedy Bosses got passed the Jesters. I was easily able to use some Jesters to kill them, tho. Wave 40 came and the Molten Boss Stun and Spawned abused. Thankfully, Jester is a cheap efficient tower to place, so I could replace them easily. I was able to get the Molten Boss down to 18,000 hp before the clump of Molten Titans got to me. I used the combo of Poison and Confusion as the deadly combo was really helpful. If it didnt have a placement limit, I probably could've won. Better than Gladiator but worse than Golden Scout, earning it the 2nd place badge. Necromancer: Necromancer was really bad because of the fact it has a placement limit of 3 and costs 2.25k to place. I had to save 6 waves to place it. It did pretty good for the first wave. But then I upgraded it to Level 1, and for some reason it didnt do damage. Apparently the Necromancer glitched and can't spawn graves or do damage from lvl 1 and out. So, I had to spam lvl 0 Necromancers sadly. But then, for some reason, I upgraded a Necromancer to lvl 1 and it did damage again. So, it was a temporary bug. Sadly, I got overwhelmed on Breakers and died Wave 17. PART 2: CHRISTMAS UPDATE Cryomancer: I was not expecting the best for Cryomancer, considering it can't even deal damage until level 3. I was expecting the worst, which I got heavily underestimated. Cryo, Just like Pyro, has burn damage, well actually freeze damage but whatever. She surprisingly speedran the first 9 waves, even faster than attempts I do with Gladiator, Shotgunner, or Gold Scout. Then reaching Wave 10 was shocking to me, as they shredded down the Normal Boss. I was first thinking we could do this!--- until the Hiddens spawned. I forgot Cryomancer also doesn't have Hidden Detection, so it was part of the gang of Wave 17 towers. Little disappointing. PART 3: TRAPPER UPDATE Trapper: I was having a good feeling about Trapper, which I shouldn't have. The first few waves were a bit slow due to enemies not dying until they go into the trap. No bad issues were happening for a little bit. Not much to say due to how boring early and mid game was. All was well until Wave 22, when the Slow Boss spawned. Considering one of the rules of this challenge was that you had to always have auto skip on, it wasn't looking good for the guy. I tried spamming Trapper, until I realized he had a placement limit of 7 (Thanks TDS :/). The Shadow Bosses, Shocks, and Slow Bosses all in a cluster led to the inevitable doom on Wave 28.
ok now, update the crook boss, the g crook boss, cryomancer, g pyro, pyro, minigunner and g minigunner (crook boss and g crook boss got a juicy rework) (cryomancer new event tower) (G pyro and pyro got buff) (minigunner and g minigunner got juicy rework) (Brawler tower, buffed cowboy, nerfed accel, buffed necro even further, engi buff, mercenary base, military base rework, I don't think i can name all)
Good video. I think the no-bias thing really helps with the concept of the video lol. May just be me but some CZcamsrs really like to be biased. I’m surprised how the differences vary between 1 year ago and now in tds when doing challenges like this.
Yeah, videos with bias I often ignore and don't really base my opinions on them. Though there are some towers I prefer over others, I tried to do my best to make it as non-bias as possible.
Also the only reason military base got wrecked by breakers is because they are glitched. They are invincible for like 0.1 seconds after being hit so they instantly kill any unit on impact
I agree with that statement, mortar is insanely op. Though he doesn't have hidden detection, still did very well, and if had hidden detection, probably could've even topped off gladiator.
i think all towers are good (except freezer) based on their map. archer is my example, they have a insane precise but the reason they lost early is that the map doesn't have a single straight lane.

Now make a part 2 with Jester, Necromancer, Minigunner (reworked) and Ranger (also reworked, if you can somehow survive with him) also toxic gunner, he got poison working now (also gmini too if it wasn't already obvious with the default minigunner that gmini is stronger)
before ace had a placement limit you can just solo the whole molten gamemode and win because of aces dps and bombs so rip ace cus it has an 8 tower limit
I actually did a 4 Player TDS Challenge, where I operated 4 accounts in 1 match, the first tower I got for them was Soldier and because of having 80 slots and almost double the ammount of early soldiers I pulled out the triumph on Molten, altho the Molten Boss did get quite far it didn't reach my final soldier set.
Yeah, I am aware that shotgunner can do a lot better but I mentioned that this was a test on 4 seasons because that map favors many other towers because of the structure.

I am actually considering it, I actually did record like 14 hours of footage with all the new towers about 2 months ago, but that video was quickly scrapped because of shader updates, rebalances, and other things.
yeah but if I gave them a different map to perform better then I would have to do the same with almost ever other tower. I picked 4 seasons since it has a little bit of everything.
I made it to wave 40 on toy board with archers only get 1 maxed out then spam rest level 4 I can see why you lose however because archer is very complicated
Tbh I don’t think your method on testing how long one tower can survive is fair(Note that im not talking about towers without hidden detection). 1: some maps allow some towers to do better(e.g. more cliff spots) 2: some towers’ peak strength can be way better than their casual strength comparing to other towers(e.g scout is unable to win molten mode by itself, no matter what map u do, but for sniper u can win molten mode solo on abandoned city map) 3: autoskip would ruin some towers’ capabilities (e.g. sniper is more of a tower that takes time to kill enemies while having high range, I will explain this more at the back if you’re curious) For your vid, they seem like they have similar strength, but I believe that sniper should shine a bit more. Here’s the long explanation for point 3: (for these towers I mention in this point 3, I will imagine that they are both useful towers, just using the names to help visualise what I’m talking about,note that) for an example u have warden, a tower with short range. In most tower defense games, shorter range leads to better strengths, which thankfully tds kinda did deal with this. Now when u autoskip, the fairness just breaks down, if the last waves enemies leave the detection range of warden, no worries! It can still do something! Just attack the enemies that just spawned! Now let’s compare this with sniper. Not much capabilities, but pretty high range. Sniper is more of a slow paced type that requires more time comparing to warden to kill an enemy. Now if u autoskip, sniper won’t be able to handle that. Why? Because you just ruined what sniper is meant to be for, the high range becomes less useful. Let’s say wave 1 has enemy an and wave 2 has enemy b. If u just skip the wave before enemy a is near death then enemy d would be able to move for quite a while before u are able to damage him. How about warden? Not much of a problem. If boss a leaks, then warden can still deal with boss b cause boss a is already out of the warden’s range. You see the problem now? Idk if I explained it enough.
This video was a test about how long a tower could survive in Molten mode. If I didn't have autoskip on, I would end up with more than just one winner. On top of that, this was also a test mostly focused on the solidness of a tower. Sure, sniper can beat molten when you don't have autoskip on, but there is where sniper has it's weakness. Too many enemies can easily lead to sniper's downfall mostly because sniper can get pressurized easily and lacks good dps for it's cost. You kind of see? I don't know if this made any sense to you, but it's my best way of describing it.
@@SmellyGamerChair yes, it’s true that if u don’t use autoskip it would cause multiple towers to win, but at the end it is slightly unfair. Ima try to explain again. So let’s say there’s a tower with small range, able to have high dps with low cost, but very small range(like gladiator, warden or sledger). Meanwhile there’s a long range tower with very high range, but lower dps with higher cost compared to that close range tower. Completely makes sense, cause range is really useful. Now the short range tower is supposed to be able to do better when there’s enemy in its range but due to the range being short, it wouldn’t take a long time before all the enemies go past him. Meanwhile the long range tower can just see through the whole map. Although slowly chipping their hp, it will be able to continuously detect them. Now when auto skip is on, the short range tower will get less affected compared to the long range tower, cause the short range tower won’t ever go to a point where there are no enemies and do absolutely nothing. Meanwhile for that long range tower it will struggle way more because it’s meant to slowly chip out the enemy, not destroy it. I know tds have some balancing issues, but technically if they were all balanced then this would be an issue(which would still be present even if the towers aren’t balanced)
@@Rap_0687 I see what you mean. But that is actually not the main issue. If you look at some of the placing of some of the towers on the tier list, you will see that often towers with splash damage, single and splash damage, and towers with good dps to cost ratios did significantly better than others. For an example: Warden is a short-ranged, high dps dealing tower. The only issue is that warden does single-target damage. That lead to warden having many leaks and many close calls. If you look at gladiator, they are also a short-ranged, high dps dealing tower. The only catch is that instead of being able to stun enemies, they pierce multiple enemies at once. Gladiator did just about the same as Warden, but just much easier and much faster. I get where you are coming from, high range usually means less dps and the less dps often leads to more enemies spawning in while you are already dealing with the current wave. But that is what this video is meant to prove. High range towers with lower dps can't deal with hordes of enemies as well as shorter-ranged power towers (as I like to call them). In a video that I'm working on that is similar to this concept won't have autoskip on or anything, mostly because the game I'm doing it on doesn't have autoskip and also because it's a different type of test, but with a similar concept. Honestly, writing these paragraphs is pretty tiring, so please don't make my life exhausting by writing another essay in which I will also have to respond to with another essay which leads to more and more essays... School is already enough of essay writing.

Electroshocker doesnt have bad dps, it can reach 200+ dps and racks up insane damage. The only problem is the placement limit.

maybe not 10, rather like 6 because crook bosses minions are quite significantly worse compared to crook

I am actually considering it, I actually did record like 14 hours of footage with all the new towers about 2 months ago, but that video was quickly scrapped because of shader updates, rebalances, and other things.

Tbh I don’t think your method on testing how long one tower can survive is fair(Note that im not talking about towers without hidden detection).
1: some maps allow some towers to do better(e.g. more cliff spots)
2: some towers’ peak strength can be way better than their casual strength comparing to other towers(e.g scout is unable to win molten mode by itself, no matter what map u do, but for sniper u can win molten mode solo on abandoned city map)
3: autoskip would ruin some towers’ capabilities (e.g. sniper is more of a tower that takes time to kill enemies while having high range, I will explain this more at the back if you’re curious)
For your vid, they seem like they have similar strength, but I believe that sniper should shine a bit more.
Here’s the long explanation for point 3: (for these towers I mention in this point 3, I will imagine that they are both useful towers, just using the names to help visualise what I’m talking about,note that) for an example u have warden, a tower with short range. In most tower defense games, shorter range leads to better strengths, which thankfully tds kinda did deal with this. Now when u autoskip, the fairness just breaks down, if the last waves enemies leave the detection range of warden, no worries! It can still do something! Just attack the enemies that just spawned! Now let’s compare this with sniper. Not much capabilities, but pretty high range. Sniper is more of a slow paced type that requires more time comparing to warden to kill an enemy. Now if u autoskip, sniper won’t be able to handle that. Why? Because you just ruined what sniper is meant to be for, the high range becomes less useful. Let’s say wave 1 has enemy an and wave 2 has enemy b. If u just skip the wave before enemy a is near death then enemy d would be able to move for quite a while before u are able to damage him. How about warden? Not much of a problem. If boss a leaks, then warden can still deal with boss b cause boss a is already out of the warden’s range. You see the problem now? Idk if I explained it enough.
This video was a test about how long a tower could survive in Molten mode. If I didn't have autoskip on, I would end up with more than just one winner. On top of that, this was also a test mostly focused on the solidness of a tower. Sure, sniper can beat molten when you don't have autoskip on, but there is where sniper has it's weakness. Too many enemies can easily lead to sniper's downfall mostly because sniper can get pressurized easily and lacks good dps for it's cost. You kind of see? I don't know if this made any sense to you, but it's my best way of describing it.
@@SmellyGamerChair yes, it’s true that if u don’t use autoskip it would cause multiple towers to win, but at the end it is slightly unfair. Ima try to explain again. So let’s say there’s a tower with small range, able to have high dps with low cost, but very small range(like gladiator, warden or sledger). Meanwhile there’s a long range tower with very high range, but lower dps with higher cost compared to that close range tower. Completely makes sense, cause range is really useful. Now the short range tower is supposed to be able to do better when there’s enemy in its range but due to the range being short, it wouldn’t take a long time before all the enemies go past him. Meanwhile the long range tower can just see through the whole map. Although slowly chipping their hp, it will be able to continuously detect them. Now when auto skip is on, the short range tower will get less affected compared to the long range tower, cause the short range tower won’t ever go to a point where there are no enemies and do absolutely nothing. Meanwhile for that long range tower it will struggle way more because it’s meant to slowly chip out the enemy, not destroy it.
I know tds have some balancing issues, but technically if they were all balanced then this would be an issue(which would still be present even if the towers aren’t balanced)
@@Rap_0687 I see what you mean. But that is actually not the main issue. If you look at some of the placing of some of the towers on the tier list, you will see that often towers with splash damage, single and splash damage, and towers with good dps to cost ratios did significantly better than others. For an example: Warden is a short-ranged, high dps dealing tower. The only issue is that warden does single-target damage. That lead to warden having many leaks and many close calls. If you look at gladiator, they are also a short-ranged, high dps dealing tower. The only catch is that instead of being able to stun enemies, they pierce multiple enemies at once. Gladiator did just about the same as Warden, but just much easier and much faster.
I get where you are coming from, high range usually means less dps and the less dps often leads to more enemies spawning in while you are already dealing with the current wave. But that is what this video is meant to prove. High range towers with lower dps can't deal with hordes of enemies as well as shorter-ranged power towers (as I like to call them).
In a video that I'm working on that is similar to this concept won't have autoskip on or anything, mostly because the game I'm doing it on doesn't have autoskip and also because it's a different type of test, but with a similar concept. Honestly, writing these paragraphs is pretty tiring, so please don't make my life exhausting by writing another essay in which I will also have to respond to with another essay which leads to more and more essays... School is already enough of essay writing.

i have swarmer and commando so i tried to do it and the results are:
swarmer - wave 18 lose to wave 13 and 15 hiddens
commando - wave 15 lose to wave 13 hiddens
always the hiddens man... anyways thanks for that, I honestly thought commando had hidden detection.
