Jenny had the worst character downfall I have EVER seen. Seriously, she went from my favorite in s1 to my absolute most hated.

@@umarsyarif6535 season 3 was messing with the perfection that was Serenate (and Dan, screw him). Some other season, she, Vanessa, and Juliet impersonated, drugged, and dumped Serena off at some random hotel where she almost died. She also slept with Chuck (also chucks fault) which ruined Chair for a bit. Her attitude in general was annoying. She went from a sweet innocent girl trying to fit in to a raccoon looking bitch that buts into everyone’s business. Sorry for the rant😂
@@user-lh2fu4nn7o I know how you feel. I remember watching S1-2 and some of S3 when it aired, and Jenny's 180 was something that really made me start not liking the show, among other things.

Jenny was too dumb to realize that she was nobody’s first choice. Chuck and Nate only fooled with her when they were pining for Blair/Serena.
The thing about Jenny is she looked up to Blair and Serena but never saw them for what they actually were. She saw 2 powerful woman who were willing to do whatever they needed to get what they want no matter who they hurt. However, there's more to Blair and Serena than that. One of the reasons the audience is so fascinated by them is how fiercely protective they are of those they care about. They have a very 'no one messes with the people I love except me' attitude. Jenny doesn't have that same desire to protect the people she cares about.
Right, that's why Serena slept with Nate, because she was so "fiercely protective" of Blair. Or why Blair revealed to everyone at that Yale event that Serena killed Pete Fairman. Because she cares about Serena so much 🤡
The reality is that Jenny has never done anything that crosses a line beyond what the rest of the characters did but people still hated on her the most for it. Blair banished Jenny from an entire city for sleeping with Chuck but didn't punish Chuck the same way even though he's the one she should feel more betrayed by. Chuck himself is a whole abuser and predator yet people leap to his defense when he's far more disgusting than Jenny. There is zero consistency or logic to why people hated more on her character compared to any of the others
Oh if Serena crosses Blair or vice versa they (even by accident) will see to it that the other's life is turned to hell. However, if its anyone else then whoever it is will be sorry. I've always said they are not good people. They are (every single character) bad people who are capable of doing good things.

OMG this was the best scene of the whole episode! when he said get out to jenny i was like 'YESSSS!! TAKE THAT!' i hate her, SO glad serena and nate are still together! :D

I mean...Serena slept with Nate while he was with her bestfriend too. Jenny is just the product of being so close with Serena while also trying to outdo Blair. Shes a toxic mixture of the both of them.

It’s so true Idk why they made Jenny like this but at the same time it made sense Jenny got tired of seeing everyone happy but her I guess I feel like if Taylor didn’t leave the show Jenny would’ve found herself in later seasons
@@kdvn1 yeah the frustrating thing about Jenny is the writers had to adapt to the actress instead of telling the story they wanted to with the character. For instance Nate and Jenny were supposed to get together, but Chace Crawford felt very uncomfortable kissing a minor as an adult. Jenny’s look and personality also had to change to accommodate Taylor’s style when she started a band. Taylor is a good actress, but in hindsight someone else (who was already an adult for one thing) should have been cast. The show would have been completely different.
@@mauvebassetgirl21 I disagree that a adult should’ve been cast it was good they casted a actress that was actually the age of Jenny and Taylor is a great actress & honestly Jenny becoming goth made sense for the character to make herself different from Blair and she just didn’t wanna be like the other Constance girls - if Taylor didn’t leave the show Jenny and Nate prob would’ve been together cuz she would’ve turned 18 before the end
Til she was 14 at the beginning of the show to Chace's 26. Of course he felt uncomfortable, he was almost twice her age!
I'd never Jenny was miscast as she's perfect for the role in the first couple seasons. But I hadnt realized how young Taylor was. If they wanted her to be a viable love interest in the show, they should've cast someone 16/17+. There still would've been a noticeable age gap between the upper classman and her to give that naivete/youngful vibe.
Hands down my favorite scene of Nate and Serena because Nate tells Jenny to get lost lol. I love that he takes Serena's side.

She didn't hate Serena, she was trying to take Nate away from her.
I hated how she favored Blair over Serena. "There's a reason I wanted to be your friend. You work for everything you have" when she was bullying her the whole show. Serena was always there for her up until this point including checking in on her after she thought she lost her virginity and gassing her up with her fashion.

Don’t get me wrong, most of the characters in the show are trash including them (ok but ngl I liked georgina as a villain) but to me Jenny was one that was just so persistently annoying to me lmao
coz the other characters (not Georgina though) had likeable traits like taking responsibility for their actions, actually feeling remorse and trying to make it right. Jenny was more scheming than anyone (except Chuck) and she was incredibly manipulative. She betrayed so many people multiple times but she never apologised and played the victim card every time. Also, the other characters could at least be sympathized with coz most of the time, the reasons for their actions are relatable and you feel inclined to forgive them. it's human nature

Nate literally just likes moral women with goals. Or you have to be super hot. He was into Jenny in season 2 cause she was working hard and not into drama. Even Blair admired her then. But the show ruined her into this dumb blonde by season 3 obsessed with Nate. I guess it just proves how the people you spend time with change you. I guarantee if Jenny just kept hustling, Nate would still like her and she would even be successful by now. Even in season 1 she had a strong work ethic to be Blair's minion. Jenny will never be a Serena, just like Blair will never be. Serena is the only person who can make doing absolutely nothing look charming.

i don't get why people love to hate jenny so much. blair, serena, and georgina have done much worse than she has and yet people love them. jenny is literally a child throughout the series, who has no appropriate role model to guide her. her father lets dan get away with everything but has a different, harsher set of rules for her. her mother is not in the scene and she's always being betrayed by her friends. from what i've seen, she always tries to improve, but is almost always pulled back to messes orchestrated by others. and to top it off, she lost her virginity to the guy who sa'd her when she was just 14. no wonder she's constantly clinging to nate- the only guy who showed her respect and cared about her enough to get her out of difficult situations. i personally don't blame her at all for the person she's become.

None of the characters is good but it's how it is coz no one is perfect and everyone has done shit. The rest of them however had certain strong traits that made us like them, unlike Jenny who was mostly a pick-me. She may be younger but she knew enough to be scheming and manipulative, she betrayed people and played the victim card. At least the others took responsibility for their actions. jenny did not even feel apologetic and guilty for all the pain she caused everyone. When others did shit, at least they tried to make it right or accept the consequences. Jenny self-pitied and treated everyone like shit
